Woke up this morning to a coffee and cream colored ocean, spilling and spitting river runoff. The wind was on it by 8:30, you need to get up early to catch the winds offshore. For this weekend, Mitch will pull his waves north, with a nice SW to follow next week. Should be smaller this weekend, but glassy. HALLOWEEN PARTIES: Thrusters(Friday), San Clemente (Saturday), Full Moon at Maui(11/4)
PLAYA JACO & HERMOSA
Jadir Hurpado at Hotel Copacabana (643-3131) said it was 2-3 feet and choppy in front, and the same in Hermosa. Slight onshore winds all day, but not much rain.
NICOYA PENINSULA
From The Monkey Bar & Best Western - Vista Villas Tamarindo (653-0114): "Don't bother coming to Tamarindo - the weather sucks and most people are leaving cos of the rain. Most places are blown out." Ninja

"Rainy rainy rainy- small waves but consistent! Expecting more rain this weekend."
CARIBBEAN
Mel Baker at ATEC in Limón (750-0188) sent this message: "The Caribbean was totally flat this morning. It has picked up a bit with the wind but it is still un-surfable. We have had a little more waves during the week but not really significant. We have been having mid-afternoon light showers during 4 days, sunny mornings."

DOMINICAL
Me levanté esta mañana a una mar como café con leche, chorreando y escupiendo el escurrimiento del rio. El viento llegó a 8:30, necesite levantarse temprano a atrapar los vientos "offshore". Para este fin de semana, Huracan Mitch jalará olas al norte, con una "swell" del suroeste a seguir la proxima semana. Las olas sería mas pequeña tambien, pero vidrioso. FIESTAS PARA EL DIA DEL MUERTE: Thrusters (viernes) San Clemente(sábado), Luna llena a Maui (proxima miercoles,4-11)
PLAYA JACO Y HERMOSA
Jadir Hurpado del Hotel Copacabana (643-3131) dijó que las olas fueron 2-3 pies y picado en frente del hotel, y lo mismo a Playa Hermosa. Vientos pocitos "onshore" todo del dia, pero hay no mucha lluvia.

Mel Baker de ATEC en Limón (750-0188) mondó este mensaje: "La Carribean fue totalamente "flat" esta mañana. Las olas hayan arribido velocidad con el viento pero todavia no pueden andarlos. Hayamos tenido mas olas durante esta semana pero no mucho. Hayamos teniendo lluvia en la media-tarde las 4 dias pasadas, con mucho sol en las mañanas."
