Today in Dominical there were overhead waves on sets this morning, with glassy conditions until 11:00 a.m. Rained by 2 p.m. I surfed it from 7:00 - 10:00.

High tide for Thursday - 11:01; Low tide - 5:15
DOMINICAL
This weekend should be the same as all week with overhead surf from a southwest swell all weekend, but dropping a little next week. Of course it's glassy in the morning until about 10:00 a.m., unless it's raining.
PLAYA JACO
Larry Long at Hotel Copacabana (#643-3131) reported onshore winds Wednesday in the afternoon and a lot of fun waves.
NICOYA PENINSULA
From Iguana Surf Shop and Grill in Tamarindo(#653-0148) "surf has dropped. On Thurs. - Sat. it was waist high at all of the beaches. It then dropped to about half that size for the last 4 days. Playa Negra had a little higher swell, but not much."
From The Monkey Bar - Guanacaste's Surf Connection & Best Western - Vista Villas Tamarindo (#653-0114): "Tamarindo Bay ("T Bay") is showing a slight increase in swell . The direction is coming in more west than south, which will make Playa Negra and Avellanas the spots on incoming high. Winds switching to onshore early and afternoon showers. Swell expected to increase by tonight - chest to head high."

Matt & Nikki at La Colina Hotel (777-0231) reported: "Weather has been great, not much rain and mostly in the evenings! Great sunsets! We have super low rates for October…, two swimming pools, and beautiful gardens"
CARIBBEAN
Mel Baker at ATEC in Limon(750-0188) reported: "Conditions in Puerto Viejo are: Sea flattening, the waves are about 1.5 ft. with an occasional surge and dropping." PURA VIDA

DOMINICAL
Este fin de semana podria ser igual como todo la semana, con olas sobre cabeza con un "swell" sur-oeste, pero bajando un poco la próxima semana. Por segundo, serán tranquilas muy temprano por la manana, hasta las 10:00, a menos que este lluviendo.
PLAYA JACO
Larry Long del Hotel Copacabana (#643-3131)
reportó vientos "onshore" el Miércoles por la tarde y muchas olas divertidas.
NICOYA PENINSULA
De Iguana Surfshop and Grill en Tamarindo (#653-0148) reportó que las olas han bajado, el jueves hasta el sabado. Estas estuvieron mas alta. Luego bajaron la mitad del tamaño en los últimos 4 dias. Playa Negra tuvo un "swell" un poco más alto, pero no mucho.
De El Monkey Bar & Best Western - Vista Villas (#653-0114) "T-Bay" esta mostrando un swell mas grande. La direccion viene más del oeste que del sur, lo cual hará Playa Negra y Avellanas los mejores lugares durante la marea alta. Vientos "onshore" temprano y lluvias en la tarde. Se esperó que el "swell" crezca está noche - con el tamaño de pecho a cabeza.

Citó a Mel Baker de ATEC en Limón: "Las condiciones en Puerto Viejo son: El mar se esta allanando, las olas son de 1,5 pies con algunas olas mas grande."
