2. Looking at head high on beach breaks and reef breaks should hold at high high +, for the next few days. 3. Weather conditions are excellent with warm waters and cool nights. We've got lots of wind in the am offshore and getting an onshore from the North or South in the afternoons. Best time to surf -am with high tide at 11:30am on Friday. 4. Waves are clean with the offshores and then getting blown out by late morning, the onshore switch is generating choppy surf in the afternoons. 5. a few agreesive surfers reported in Playa Grande. 6. Big music weekend in Tamarindo!!!! Superbowl Sunday....We should have a good push from a NW by Monday.

Mel Baker at ATEC Asociación Talamanqueña de Ecoturismo y Conservación, Puerto Viejo (750-0188) replied: 1. Salsa Brava 2. 5-6' at Salsa Brava and Beach Break. The angle is not the best at S.B. but the waves are surfable. BB is also breaking on the outer reef by the island.

1. The best place in our area to surf is a reef break 100 meters south of Jaguar Hotel. 2. Good waves today estimated at 7 feet. 3. The wind throughout the day is from the northeast. We had an early morning rain and strong winds during the early morning. 4. Waves are slightly turbulent. 5. no water pests 6. Jaguar's normal rates are $55 and $70 for a double room, but we have a surfer special of $150 for a 4 day stay for a double room.

Todos playas de oeste y sudoeste debe ser mirado viernes y sabado. Playa Avellanes y Negra debe ser de tamaña hasta la cabeza. 2. Mire por olas hasta la cabeza y sobre a todos las playas y arrecifes para los días proximos. 3. La clima es excelente, con aguas cálidos y noches casualidades. Tenemos mucho viento en la mañana de "offshore" y recibiendo un viento "onshore" del norte o sur en las tardes. El mejor tiempo para surfeando es en las mañanas, con marea alta a 11:30 en viernes. 4. Limpia con los "offshores" y "blown out" por tarde en la mañana, trayendo olas agitados. 5. surfeadores agresivos a Playa Grande. 6. Un gran fin de semana de Música a Tamarindo !!! Domingo es el "Superbowl" Debemos tener a empuje bueno de un swell de norteoeste para lunes.

El ángulo no es bueno a Salsa pero las olas pueden ser surfeado. Tambien, la playa esta rompiendo en el arrecife afuera cerca de la isla.
* Hotel Jaguar jaguar@sol.racsa.co.cr reportó: 1. EL mejor lugar en nuestra area a surfear esta 100 metros sur del hotel. 2. Buenas olas hoy, estimado a siete pies. 3. El viento entre el día esta desde el noreste. Tuvimos lluvia en la mañana y vientos fuertes durante la mañana temprano. 4. Olas son agitadas poquitas. 5. nada. 6. Normal precios son $55 y $70 por un doble, pero para surfeadores para 4 días, solamente $150.

A SW has picked up bringing in head high surf at exposed west facing beaches. Playa Nosara, Mal Pais, Playa Negra, Witch's Rock for the head-high plus surf and longboarding sets in Tamarindo Bay that should hold until Friday. A NW tries to approach the coast late Saturday hopefully generating head high surf. Playa Avellanas and Playa Langosta may be the spots to watch over the weekend.
2. Expect chest high to 2 + overhead at all breaks picking up the SW. If the WNW comes in on Saturday - surf should stay head high at most west exposed breaks. 3. The weather is cool and the winds are staying offshores in the am and switching to variable and/or onshore from the south west in the afternoons. High tide on Thur. - is at 5:14am and 5:41pm. Rotating every 6 hours + 46 mintues. 4. With the offshores waves are smooth with occassional blown down faces as the winds pick up around 11:00am and then switching to onshore with bumpy but surfable waves in the afternoon. 5. A few jellyfish have been spotted. Keep your feet on the board!!! 6. Monkey Bar Best Western - live Buzz Thompson and the Blues Revue on Saturday night. It's a party. If the SW holds Friday may be good at Ollie's Point. Catch a boat and surf a Point Break!!!!

Salsa is 4-6 feet (remember - faces), Beachbreak is 3 feet; the sea seems to be coming up a little. They are planning a Surf/Volleyball Tournament this coming weekend. (I'm thinking the 29th-31st, but then I heard from Planet Surf mag the ACOS contest was postponed until the middle of February)

Un swell suloeste ha arribido trayendo olas head-high en playas orientado a oeste. Playa Nosara, Mal Pais, Playa Negra, Witch's por olas sobre-cabeza, y "sets" para longboarding en T-Bahía que debe quedarse hasta Viernes. Un swell norteoeste trata venir sabado en la tarde, esperamente generando olas headhigh. Avellanas y Langosta son los lugares a mirar este fin de samana. 2. Anticipe olas hasta el pecho a dos pies sobre-cabeza a todos playas recibiendo el swell suroeste. Si el swell ONO viene sabado, las olas mantendran. 3. La clima es casualidad y los vientos son "offshore" en la manana y cambiando a variable y/o "onshore" en la tarde. Marea alta a jueves es 5:14 y 5:41 en la lartde, alternable todos los seis horas, suma 46 minutos. 4. Con vientos "offshore" olas son bien formado, en la tarde son lleno de baches 5. Aguamalas, mantanga sus pies en su tabla!!! 6. Monkey Bar - Best Western - Buzz Thompson toca "Blues" sabado en la noche. Es una fiesta. Si el swell oeste mantiene, entonces atrape un barco para Ollie's y surfeé un punto!!

(Estoy pensando 29th a 31st, pero eschuché de la revista Planet Surf que el torneo ACOS haya diferido hasta el medio de febrero.)

Glassy all day 5. nada 6. The swells up north don't quite make it here, but headhigh leftovers that wrap from north to west-southwest make it a nice weekend. BEACH CLEANUP - SATURDAY - 10 A.M.

If it gets big its going to be Roca Loca or T-bowls for sure. If small to med, just drive on down to Tulin. 2. out front Wed. a.m. Small, maybe waist high but tides just starting to push by 9 am 3&4. glassy, light offshores 5. lots of bait fish 6. Night surf at Terraza del Pacifico this weekend and I just got a batch of brand new Eerie Peeples funboards in the shop. Stop by and check them out.

Playa Grande and Playa Negra will pick up late on Wed. and should hold until Thurs. when a new nw swell should start coming in. NW swell - Beaches to check - Langosta, Tam. Rivermouth & Playa Avellannes. 2. Wed and Thursday chest to head high on the sw, by late Friday swell should switch out to nw bringing in head high sets to exposed beaches. Swell should hold until Tuesday. 3. Cool with water temps in the high 70's. Winds holding offshore throughout the day with occassional shifts due to passing clouds. 4. Offshore winds are keeping the waves clean and glassy. Early morning surf will not be coming in until Monday. 5. We still have a few sea lice in the area, but a little limon will take care of it. 6. Live music throughout the month in Tamarindo.

Si es grande entonces va a ser Roca Loca o T-Bowls porseguro. Si es pequeña, conduzca abajo a Tulin. 2. Afuera, miercoles en la mañana: pequeña, hasta la cintura pero mareas estan empujando para 9:00. 3.&4. vidrioso, "offshore". 5. muchas sardinas 6. Surf en la noche a Terraza del Pacifico y recibí un grupo de "funboards" nuevas de Eerie Peeples. Venga y mirélos!

El swell estuvo creciendo a miercoles con un suroeste pequeña. Playa Grande y Negra progresarán tarde a miercoles hasta jueves, cuando un swell nuevo empiece. Playas mejores para un well de norte-oeste: Langosta, Tam. boca del rio, y Avellannes. Vaya a pagina 2 para mas de Nicoya y otras playas !! J Pura Vida [
2. Para viernes en la tarde, el swell cambia a norte-oeste trayendo olas hasta su cabeza a las playas expuestas. Swell debe mantener hasta martes 3. Casualidad con tempuraturas de agua en los 70's F. Vientos "offshores" y cambiando con las nublados 4. limpia y vidrioso. No surf temprano hasta lunes. 5. Un poquito ellos de oro, pero limon ayuda. 6. Música viva en Tamarindo todo el mes.

Papagayo winds are holding throughout the day with some strong winds
early afternoons 2. Playa Avellanes and Playa Negra. Playa Grande should
pick up the north wrap and have good condtions. The famous T-Bay rivermouth
should have good surf. 3. Waist to head high and should stay consistenly
headhigh+ with the North swell. 4. It's been clean, glassy barrel waves and
should continue thru Saturday. 5. A few sea lice have been in the water due
to the extreme high and low tides. High tides are coming in at 9+ and low
-0.5. It's fast!!!! High tide in Tamarindo on Thur. 6:30 am. 6. More
surfers, more fun.
