TIDES (add an hour each day)
High tide for Friday - 4:22; Low tide - 10:31
DOMINICAL
This weekend should be good, with waves coming from the west-north-west. Waves will be well-overhead all weekend, but dropping off by next Tuesday. It's glassy in the morning until about 10:00 a.m., unless it's raining.
PLAYA JACO
Larry Long at Hotel Copacabana (#643-3131) reported waves 8-10 ft on Wednesday, but a strong north-west wind and intermitent rain in the afternoon. Glassy in the morning and real good. For Thursday: 6-8 ft. swells, glassy at Escondido for mid-tide.
NICOYA PENINSULA
From Iguana Surf Shop and Grill in Tamarindo(#653-0148) "Surf was up to 5 foot faces in Tamarindo, but this morning was flat."
From The Monkey Bar - Guanacaste's Surf Connection & Best Western - Vista Villas Tamarindo (#653-0114):
Danny was at Witches on Wed. and saw some 12 foot faces on the sets. Ollies' was head to overhead, but onshore winds blew it out by noon.

Matt & Nikki at La Colina Hotel (777-0231) reported: "Very small waves and calm winds from the mountains. Very sunny for October."
CARIBBEAN
Carolina from Cabinas Casa Verde (750-0015) heard that the waves in Salsa Brava were small, but in Cocles the waves were good for Thursday.

Marea Alta de viernes - 4:22; Marea Baja - 10:31
DOMINICAL
Este fin de semana podria ser bueno, con olas veniendo del oeste-norte-oeste. Las olas seran sobre-cabeza todo el fin de semana, pero bajando por la próxima jueves. Será tranquila muy temprano por la manana, hasta las 10:00, a menos que este lluviendo.
PLAYA JACO
Larry Long del Hotel Copacabana (#643-3131)
reportó olas 8-10 pies el miercoles, pero un viento fuerte y un poca lluvia en las tarde. Tranquilo en la mañana y muy bueno. Por jueves: 6-8 pies "swells", tranquilo a Encondido por marea-media.
NICOYA PENINSULA
De Iguana Surfshop and Grill en Tamarindo (#653-0148) "Las olas fueron arriba a cinco pies en Tamarindo por miercoles, pero esta mañana fue "flat"
De El Monkey Bar & Best Western - Vista Villas (#653-0114) Danny estuvo a Witches el miercoles y vió olas de 12 pies durante las "sets". Ollies' fue cabeza a sobre-cabeza, pero vientos "on-shore" lo mató por media dia.

"Las olas muy pequeñitas y vientos tranquilos desde las montañas. Mucho sol para octubre."
CARIBBEAN
Carolina de Cabinas Casa Verde (750-0015) escuchó que las olas en Salsa Brava fueron pequeñas, pero las olas en Cocles fueron buenas para jueves.
