NATIONAL FORECAST
Pacific - The consistent overhead surf coming from the WNW and SSW
all weekend will drop a foot by Sunday afternoon and by Monday
morning it's head high and cleanest mid morning. Expect head high to
overhead surf from the SSW until Thursday, when the next southern
hemi swell arrives with 1-2 foot overhead peaks that will continue
through next Sunday. Sets will get even bigger 2-4 foot overhead, so
check those point breaks.

Caribbean - Last of the weekend's ENE swell fades out Sunday to
chest high with a few head high sets. Monday and Tuesday are
smaller - chest high at best, but clean. Then another ENE swell
fills in Wednesday, bringing chest to head high surf all the way
through the next weekend.

The new moon swell of 4 to 6 foot waves has backed off, leaving the

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: Surf
competition being held in Playa Cameronal, south of Carillo beach,
on Sunday April 17th. Waves expected to be shoulder to overhead, all
interested just show up Sunday morning.

** From Brice at Land Assurance Reforestation Services in Playa
Dominical -
AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Wave heights are shoulder high to
a few feet overhead on the big sets. The primary swell has been
enough from the south to give great lefts and a little wave from the
north throws in some peaks that go either way. Occasionally, there
are those waves where you are having a great right and someone is
having a great left and you are on a collision course. There has
been little wind making for surf all day except at the lowest of
tides. This has been consistent for about a week now. Superb.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - For some reason I
can't explain, the mornings seem to be more closed out than the
evenings. This morning (Friday) was more closed out than earlier in
the week, and I fear that the new growing swell may close out the
beach by Sunday. However, the swell looks significant and it could
be enough to make the point work. Let's hope.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - The beach if the
north swell can keep enough peaks happening, otherwise, the point
will be the only option. With waves under 6' in LOLA, you will want
to do the point at low or near low tide.
