High Tide - 8.53 ft at 6:39 AM

Low Tide - 1.26 ft at 12:45 PM

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - This is a great weekend for the dawn/dusk
patrol at all beachbreaks. SW swell fading a little by
Saturday morning, dropping to head high with a 10
second period. It drops down to chest high by Sunday
afternoon and Monday doesn´t look that great either.
Then by Tuesday another strong SSW will push it up to
head high with a 16 second period. The size will get a
little bigger each day after, with a nice SW filling
in next weekend with 2 foot overhead surf.

Caribbean - Strong storms are slamming Nicaragua but
staying north of Costa Rica. Now is the time for a
strategic strike at Isla Uvita, at least until Sunday.
By Monday it disappears and we wait for more tropical
winds to kick up some swell. Wave periods are short
10-12 seconds.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

1) From Damien at Jammin Surf Camp in Playa Grande-

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas
y condiciones:
All the week have been pretty good with two sessions
per day at least. Wave's size have been changing
everyday from waist high to head high and plus on sets
with fair conditions in the morning and the end of the
afternoon.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que

I think the waves are getting smaller for the next few
days then on next week it will picking up. The weather
is nice, a weak off shore is blowing, missing some
rain over here!!!

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El

All playa grande will be surfable from "la casita" to
the main peak with some good tube riding sessions on
mid-tide.

2) From Steve at Tropico Latino in Santa Teresa (just
north of Mal Pais)

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS & CONDITIONS:

We have had a lot of rain here over the last few days
resulting in a real mixed bag of conditions. It's been
disorganised and onshore a lot of the time cleaning up
periodiocally at odd times of the day. Yesterday even
featured an hour of offshore before it rained again.
There is a steady pulse from the SW with some sets
overhead and lining up well.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND:

Depends on weather the squally conditions continue.
Drier weather was forecast for this week but doesn't
seem to have materialised - would expect swell to
remain consistent out of the SW.

BEST PLACE TO SURF IN THIS AREA: Sta Teresa has the
best sandbars - Carmen sorting itself out with new
sand coming out of the rivers after the big rains.

JACO & HERMOSA

3) From Chuck at Chosita del Surf in Jaco -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas
y condiciones:

Waves today were 3-4 ft with a bigger set here and
there , really choppy in the a.m. but cleaned up a bit
in the
afternoon,

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que

No voy a tratar a

Rain , Rain y mas Rain I wont even try to guess what
the waves are going to do the rumour mill is running
crazy right now so plan on a get wet session at the
worst !

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El

Jaco could be real fun this weekend , rains mean
glassy surf at times and its not too big so with the
afternoon high tides and morning too we should have
some fun stuff here !

4) From Tommy at Fuego del Sol in Playa Hermosa -

We have rising swell conditions out of the SW
(210-225). This southern hemi was generated by a storm
below New Zealand, and should hit it´s peak tomorrow
(with maybe some double overhead sets). Upper Hermosa
(out front of the Brisa del Mar) is looking clean even
though it hasn´t stopped raining yet. The waves are
3-5 feet (from the back) with some bigger sets. High
tide is at 6:00AM. Esterillos is looking really fun
this morning for high tide. Brad and the Coral camp
guests are all over it! Our in house pros and Lost &
