DOMINICAL
Summertime is here, the southwest swells and afternoon showers are backing off, leaving us with a slight west swell for the weekend. Waves here should be in the head-high range through Sunday, and then dropping. Up north should be better and possibly the Caribbean side is worth a road-trip.
PLAYA JACO & HERMOSA
Best spot: On Wed. in Hermosa, "The Tree" was the place to be, with head high sets and barrels.
NICOYA PENINSULA
From Patti at The Monkey Bar & Best Western - Vista Villas Tamarindo "Guanacaste's Surf Connection" (653-0114): Spot, size, & wind: Playa Grande waist high sets, choppy with onshore winds early afternoon. Swell direction westerly with a change to SW late Thurs. Should be head high with early off shores for a morning session. Playa Aveannes & Playa Negra - fun longboard waves going to head-high for incoming swell on Thurs. Winds early offshore switching to onshore early afternoon. Playa Tamarindo - Pico Grande up to waist high with good lefts, going up to 4-6 by Fri. Should be offshore early mornings and glassy; Best spot: Grande-Negra - early off shores with clean conditions over the weekend. Watch for Witch's and Ollie's to pickup on Friday. Upcoming: Papagayo winds should be coming in over the next three weeks. The north west and west swells will also start showing over the next three weeks.

El verano esta aqui, las "swells" del suroeste y lluvias en las tardes estan retrociendo, nos quedando con un "swell" pequenito para el fin de semana. Olas deben ser tamañas de cabeza hasta domingo y entonces caían. Al norte debe ser mejor y posible el caribe es aconsejable por un viaje.
PLAYA JACO Y HERMOSA
El Mejor lugar: En miercoles a Hermosa, "El Arbol" fue el lugar estar, con olas hasta su cabeza y tubos.
NICOYA PENINSULA
De Patti en El Monkey Bar & Best Western - Vista Villas (653-0114): Lugar, Tamaño, y Viento: Playa Grande hasta la cintura, picada con vientos "onshore" en la tarde temprano. Ola dirección del oeste con una cambia a suroeste en jueves tarde. Debe ser hasta la cabeza con vientos "offshore" para una sesión en la mañana. Playa Aveannes y Negra - divertido por "longboarders" hasta la cabeza para jueves. Vientos "offshore" cambiando a "onshore" temprano en la tarde. Playa Tamarindo - Pico Grande hasta la cintura con izquierdas buenas, creciendo hasta 4-6 pies a viernes. Deben ser como vidrio con vientos "offshore" El lugar mejor: Grande o Negra - con vientos "offshore" con condiciónes limpias sobe el fin de semana. Mire para Witch's y Ollie's a crecer en viernes.
Próximo: Vientos de Papagayo deben veniendo sobre las tres semanas próximas. Los "swells" del norteoeste y oeste empezarán mostrando tambien.
