NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - 1 to 2 foot overhead for the weekend with a 15 second
period Saturday (don't forget that there is a 10 foot tide swing
this weekend so the waves usually pick up on the incoming tide)
shortening to 13 seconds by Monday from the SW swell. Size drops a
little by Monday afternoon, stays overhead through Tuesday, but on
Wednesday there will be a noticable drop down to head high with only
a few bigger sets. After that, expect another drop in wave height,
with surf only chest high (head high at peak beaches) through the
following weekend and early the following week.

Caribbean - The weekend begins with fun chest to head high waves
with an occasional overhead set. By Sunday the sets get more
consistent, but not as big and on Monday it is back to waist to
chest surf. Tuesday afternoon another pulse of ESE swell fills in
with some chest high sets and from Wednesday through to next weekend
will be chest to head high, or bigger depending on the distance of
the nearby tropical storms.

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -
AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones:
The very consistent swell has been running overhead to double
overhead all week with varying light wind conditions and one off
shore day.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): The morning and afternoon high
tides should increase our chances of good wind conditions if the
swell doesn't get too big. The overcast skies are helping in the
afternoon, especially when it rains.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: Day break out front, and down
the service road toward Tamarindo if it gets too big.

** From Harry at Coconut Harry's in Playa Guiones (Nosara) -

Not as huge, but still great shaped 4 to 6 foot waves with a slower
peak. Nice form, easier drop in. Pretty glassy. Shore break during
high tide. Nice sunset surf sesh.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): The swell is still here. For the
weekend the waves may back down to the normal swell size 4 to 5
feet. Good shape, good form with glassy conditions after a
rainstorm. Choppy when it is windy. During low tides 5 foot close
outs roll in.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: The best surfing spot in
Samara is right in front of the Las Brisas Del Pacifico hotel. No
crowds or localism and a cleaner wave.
NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: The swell has
hit!!!!!!!!! Come surfing! Great beginner conditions for learning to
surf during low tides, bring the kids and the whole family. Time to
learn is now! Pura Vida
