The Costa Rican National Surf Team is competing in the ISA Surfing
Games. All the men's groups made it through their opening heats, but
had a difficult time with later rounds. Carlos Arias from Tamarindo
had the crowd on their feet on a monster wave in the Longboard

Costa Rica, come to the Christian Surfer's House at 2 p.m. on Sunday

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - To be optimistic, the weather will be beautiful - hot and
sunny - for the next week. And the surf will be big all weekend,
headhigh to 2 foot overhead. By Monday though, the SW swell fades and
nothing is backing it up. By Wednesday, surf is down to chest to head
and by Saturday, some beaches will be only waist high. The next minor
swells arrive on the first of April from WNW and SW.

Caribbean - The seas have dropped for the time being, it will be
waist to chest high through the weekend and into next week. The next
swell arrives Wednesday, pushing surf back to head high with bigger
sets flowing in for Thursday and Friday before dropping quickly by
next weekend.

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones:
We've had a week of super surf in the head high range with occasional
larger sets. The wave shape improved from good to perfect from last
weekend as the offshores diminished. The afternoon onshores on Mon.
brought our normal March warm water back and didn't affect the surf
in our area since the offshore wind has been nearly perfect for the
morning high tides. The wave window was so long on Thurs. that
outgoing tide was virtually empty for hours and a few lucky surfers
had the session of a lifetime.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de semana (clima y olas): The high tides are moving in to the mid
day and surf conditions should be fine if the wind continues to
cooperate.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: The focus is at the main peak,
but there are peaks working all up and down the beach with Chicken
Head Rock showing small, but good form. If this next swell hits too
hard, we'll head down the service road toward the Tamarindo Estuary.

Height: South 4-6ft (from the back of the wave), Sea Surface: Slight
Chop, Wind: South 2-5 MPH, Sunrise: 5:43 AM, Sunset: 5:50 PM, High
Tide: 04:42 PM / 9.30 ft, Low Tide: 10:25 AM / -0.25 ft, Current
Conditions- All spots are still going. It's come down to fun size,
clean surf, PURA VIDA!!!!

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS -Dominical. There is a strong south
coming in as of right now, apparently to peak by saturday. Tamano de
las olas y condiciones: DOminical. Hay un oleaje del sur fuerte
entrando en este momento.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) -Dominical. The waves
are going to be getting bigger, and the weather just continues to be
hot, hot, hot. Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y
olas):Dominical. Las olas van a estar creciendo, y el tiempo es solo
CALIENTE!

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA -Dominical. I would
suggest heading out to the point on an incoming, or out going tide,
or if you have the time and ride, head down to pavones or matapalo.
El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area:Dominical. Les
sugiero ir a la punta en una marea entrante, o bajante, o, si tienen
tiempo, y un carro, vayanse a pavones, o matapalo.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS-Dominical. Easter week is coming, note that
on almost all the beach zones, prices will be rising a bit,for only
those two weeks. The beaches are going to be crowded, please swim in
front of the lifeguards, and pick up your trash! Noticias y dias
especiales: Dominical. Semana Santa viene, fijense que los precios en
todos los lugares por la playa van a subir por solo esas dos semanas.
