Low Tide: 1.29 ft at 1:45 pm

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - The big NW swells pushing down from the Aluetians continue
to spread liquid love on the Guanacaste coastline, overhead and clean
high tide mornings from Saturday to next Wednesday. The southern
coasts look a foot smaller, but some SW relief fills in by Wednesday
morning for a day or two. Dawn patrol is the call!!

Caribbean - The weekend looks fair with waist to chest high sets and
clean conditions. But the right coast is set up to get slammed by a
major NE swell bringing surf 2-4 foot overhead by Monday morning and
staying strong through next Thursday.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande:

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones:
The swell has been running well overhead, and except for Thursday
morning, has been a little messy and hair ball all week due to the on-
shores which are cranking up in the afternoon.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de semana (clima y olas): Now that high tide is in the morning
and the wind is combing the faces, the slightly smaller waves should
be perfect for somewhere here in the bay.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: It has been excellent at the
south peak right out front, but all the spots in the bay are showing
promise at some tide at all the peaks in the bay. Tamarindo Estero
mouth, which is just minutes away on the service road, is always
worth checking at incoming tide

JACO & HERMOSA

(for daily reports, please check the Rovercam link at the bottom of
this page)

** From Tommy at Rancho Coral in Esterillos -

Local Climate: Sunny, Air Temp: 93F. Water Temp 85F, Direction &
Height: Southwest 1-3ft (from the back of the wave) Sea Surface:
Glassy, Wind: Offshores 0-5 MPH, Sunrise: 5:56 AM, Sunset: 5:49 PM,
High Tide: 08:26 AM / 6.60 ft, Low Tide: 02:15 PM / 2.04 ft, Current
Conditions- Hermosa, Este and Hermosa Beaches were showing beeter
