NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Saturday calls for chest high surf, with head high sets
every 20 minutes. Sunday morning stays the same, but some 1 foot
overhead sets start appearing around noon, and get more consistent
through the afternoon. Monday and Tuesday will be the best, head high
to overhead. Wednesday it fades fast and it's back to chest to head
at the better beachbreaks through next weekend.

Caribbean - Since Saturday and Sunday will remain small, from knee to
waist high, Monday afternoon through Wednesday will be the best days
to surf. Waves from the NE will increase from knee high to chest high
by Tuesday morning and stay consistent all day with some head high
sets. By Thursday, it drops back to waist high with a few bigger high
sets until the weekend. Expect more to come as NE'ers push off the
U.S. coast.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

** From Diana, the best surf instructor in Tamarindo -

The season is turning slowly into "summer". The sky is getting bluer
every day and the waves stay cleaner longer into the day. There's
been nice surf this week about chest high, head high in Langosta. La

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de semana (clima y olas):

This weekend, it's dawn patrol. All the breaks in the area should be
great if you get up early and should clean up again in the late
afternoon.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a

Langosta seems to be the pick, but it's been rather crowded Langosta

** From Denis at Hightide Surf Shop in Tamarindo -

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales:

Por el campionato en Playa Negra este fin de semana, mandamos suerte
a Paco, Isac y Rigo, todos surfeando por Hightide Surfshop Tamarindo,
vamos chicos!

** From Marco at Tropico Latino Lodge in Santa Teresa -

JACO & HERMOSA

** From Chuck at Chosita del Surf Shop in Jaco -

Small fun rideable longboard waves here in Jaco and weather looks
pretty good for the weekend and yep its payday here in Costa Rica so
the masses are heading down the mountain ! Crowds won't be bad
because we have miles and miles of deserted beachbreaks here in the
neighborhood just waiting to be surfed ! See Ya Soon ! Chuck !

** From Guido at Hotel Fuego del Sol in Playa Hermosa -

It looks like dry season has come earlier this year, this week only a
few showers at night very sunny humid days and very variable surfing
conditions. Waves are still coming from SSW, high tides early morning
and late afternoon (7 - 8 feet avg) raises a little move after Sunday
(SW) waist to head high. Very changing winds during weekend. It's a
matter of the right time at the right place. For Jaco and Hermosa is
better early morning or before high tides in the afternoon.

** From Tommy at Rancho Coral in Esterillos -

Local Climate: Sunny Air Temp: 93F. Water Temp 85F. Direction &
Height: SW 2-3ft (from the back of the wave) Sea Surface: Glassy.
Wind: Light Offshores 0-3 MPH. Sunrise: 5:33AM Sunset: 5:14 PM. High
Tide: 05:46 AM / 8.13 ft. Low Tide: 12:00 PM / 1.03 ft. Current
Conditions: We have small to medium conditions with Good Surf at
Este, Bejuco and Hermosa Beaches. We should see an small boost from
the Southwest late Saturday. We are looking at micro conditions
(bring your fish) for the opening round of surf Saturday in Playa
Negra for the Costa Rican National Surf Series. We will be on the
point at A Surfer's Dream Playa Negra, Good Luck To Our Riders, PURA
VIDA!!!!

QUEPOS & MANUEL ANTONIO

DOMINICAL & OSA

** From Sean at Coldwell Banker in Dominical-

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS:

CARIBBEAN

** From Topo at the Magellan Inn in Playa Cahuita-

Waves are knee high, a few to the waist. They are short and choppy.
The tide is up.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de semana (clima y olas):

Could change to higher waves as we are starting to get our small rain
season which brings in stronger seas. The weather is covered with
some rain, especially at night. Some peaks out now and then during
the day.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA -

White Beach and if things improve maybe Playa Negra, but it's not
great.
