(add 50 min. each day after)

New Moon - September 25th

High Tide - 7.19 ft at 8:23 am
Low Tide - 2.15 ft. at 2:41 pm

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Waves 1-2 foot overhead are coming from the SW and will
remain the same size through Monday. The high tides are just right a
nice dawn patrol as well. Tuesday morning will see a decrease in size
by a foot and another two foot drop by Wednesday, down to chest to
head high by the afternoon. Stays small until next Sunday, when a big
south starts filling in the coast with waves overhead and growing
bigger all through the following week.

Caribbean - Still no surf predicted for the Caribbean coast, Sunday
will see a few knee high sets but it won't get much bigger throughout
the week.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

** From Diana, the PuraMar surf teacher in Tamarindo -

Wave heights and conditions: The swell that came in during the
weekend gave us about two days of excitement. Waves now range from
waist to shoulder high, coming in from the south/southwest. The on-
shore switch is coming pretty early in the mornings now. Afternoon
rains have been consistent and rather heavy for the last week,
cooling off the steamy afternoons and sometimes turning the wind
around.

What to expect this weekend: This weekend, expect beautiful morning
and rainy afternoons. Getting up early will be the best stragegy for
getting good surf. Think twice about surfing too soon after heavy
rains, as this is a common cause of ear infections and other
unpleasantries.

Best place to surf this weekend: With the south/southwest pulse,
Avellanas should be good. There has been some road work, so it may
even be passable! The rivermouth in Tamarindo around mid-tide is
looking nice and of course as long as the waves come from the south,
Grande is a good choice.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de semana (clima y olas): Hopefully, the swell will come tomorrow
and last throughout the weekend (5-8 ft). The weather has been pretty
nice and sunny and after sunset, it dumps.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA- El mejor lugar a
