NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - A dead south swell reaches 1-3 foot overhead by Friday
afternoon and remains powerful throughout the weekend. Expect a few
double overhead sets at the best beach breaks. By Monday afternoon it
drops back down to overhead and by Tuesday, the surf disappears into
chest high glass. Dawn patrols should be small but nice until next
Friday. Next Saturday begins another round of southwest swell.

Caribbean - There's waves for the weekend, waist to occasional chest
high coming from the East. Expect it to drop daily, knee high by
Monday and then it's dead flat by Wednesday with nothing forecasted
until the next report.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

** From Diana, the PuraMar surf teacher in Tamarindo -

WAVE SIZE/CONDITIONS: The swell we had going last week has passed and
the one rumored to be on the way has yet to arrive. The mornings have
been gorgeous and even off-shore, but the tide is out, so not much
surf in Tamarindo then. By the time it fills in, it's pretty sloppy
due to the wind change, but by sunset it's starting to mellow out and
a longboard and find some nice rides at the rivermouth. Wave size is
our average waist to chest.

WHAT TO EXEPECT THIS WEEKEND:Another south swell is rumored to be on
the way, and that could change everything for the weekend. Very very
early morning surf could come up and late afternoons will be as good
as the wind allows. Afternoon storm systems often switch the wind
back off-shore in their wake, so there's a lot to be hopeful about.

WHERE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND: The Tamarindo river mouth is looking
interesting these days. I would keep an eye on that. If the south
swell comes in without too much south wind, Grande would be the
definate pick. La boca de rio en Tamarindo se ve muy interesante en
estos dias. Yo recomindo que la ponga cuidado. Si llega el swell del
sur sin demasiado viento del sur, Playa Grande sera el mejor lugar
sin duda.

DOMINICAL & OSA

**From Steph at green Iguana Surf Camp in Dominical -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Right now it is lightly raining
and the winds are blowing onshore and the current is pushing hard to
the north. The waves are about 3-5 feet, conditions are choppy and
windblown with no shape.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - There is supposed
to be a 10 foot swell pushing north for Friday and Saturday and then
it is going to die by Sunday to 4ft.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA- Tomorrow, I am heading
to Cabo Matapalo for the weekend to try and catch it. In this area,
it might be working at The Point this weekend.

** From Daveed at Coldwell Banker in Dominical -
