TIDES *for Friday - add 50 min. each day after

High Tide - 7.80 ft. at 10:44 AM
Low Tide - 2.02 ft. at 5:04 PM

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - South swell pumps in some overhead surf for Saturday and then
thrown
into the mix is a SW bump for added size and wave counts on the sets.
By
Monday, both swells fade a little and by Tuesday, the surf is back to
chest to
headhigh. After that, even smaller down to waist to chest by Friday.
Midday
hightides mean dawn patrols at the points, as well as Tulin and
Barranca.
Nothing big showing for next weekend.

Caribbean - The NE swell has backed off from the coast, leaving some
sets in
the chest to head high range for Friday and dropping by to chest high
for the
weekend. The size drops a little more for early next week, while the
rain
appears to be making a comeback.

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande:

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones:

Thursday was chest high at best with light offshores in the early
morning hours
and the wind turning onshore by 10:30 am, which has not been the norm
as the
offshores have been blowing well into the afternoon hours lately.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de
semana (clima y olas):

Long morning sessions at Grande with high tide at mid-morning, and
let's hope
the swell fills in as it's supposed to.

news of
coming swell (see below)

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) -

Tonight (thursday 7-4) and into tomorrow, the surf will literally
double in
size. This swell is a due south, so you know what that means...(hint-
two words
w/ initials O and P) Saturday and Sunday will be classic head-high,
some
overhead sets. Nothing huge, but definitely fun.

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS & CONDITIONS:

Small. Waves barely chest high this morning and not lining up. However
it is

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND:

A swell is apparently on the way for the weekend so hope for bigger and
better
conditions.
