Indian summer has come in to Guanacaste and weather is perfect....Waves should hold until Sunday and decreasing until Tuesday, when a new sw picks up the stream and heads into shore. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: Pick a spot facing the Pacific and you'll find 5 to 10' waves all weekend. Playa Grande, Little Hawaii, Avellanes and Playa Negra. For a long left try "T Bay" rivermouth. Witch's and Ollies for the "Wave of the Day".....

AND IN ENGLISH !! - AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: The waves last weekend were good enough, but today they are small. The wind is good and the ocean glassy. WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): There's little chance of bigger waves, but fun ones. The weather has been great for the weekend. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: The left in front of our hotel is throwing powerful little surf, and the ranch en Junquillal. Negra has been firing but has lots of great local surfers on it. Lagartillo reef can be a good option also.

(3) Steve from Tropico Latino Lodge in Santa Teresa - AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: Chest to head high all week with the odd 4 footer coming through. Veranillo continues and has made for super clean conditions in the morning and the odd evening glass off. Beachbreaks have been working well with some fun waves at Sta Teresa. Good rights for longboarders in front of the hotel. WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND We´re due another SW swell if the pattern for this rainy season continues. Big storm last night but weather should stay fine for the next couple of weeks, meaning (hopefully) more clean surf. BEST PLACE TO SURF IN YOUR AREA THIS WEEKEND: Dawn Patrol and p.m. Sta Teresa. Carmen after breakfast.

JACO & HERMOSA (JH)
(4) Hola, desde Hotel Fuego del Sol, Playa Hermosa. http://fuegodelsol.com We are under medium conditions right now around (4ft.(backs)<--That's how we do it from now on, OK, Thanks!) My reports are calling for a Zlander to hit us sometime late today or, tomorrow. We have been fortunate enough to recieve a blunt of the summer from the Southwest. Expect, the ALLSTAR spots on your "westie" beaches to be GOING OFF! Looks like another 6-8 ft. of sparkling Southwest at those spots mentioned. Islands Born of Fire Pura Vida!!!!!

QUEPOS & MANUEL ANTONIO (QMA)
(5) From Todd at Alacran Surf Tours - The condtions this week in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area have been a bit slow. Area wave heights have not exceeded anything over chest high. This weekend everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for the southwest swell that is supposed to moving today, Thursday, July 22. If this swell report is accurate, we can expect the masses in 5-8+ range as top spots hit 12'+. This swell is supposed to continue through the weekend, slowing down a bit on Sunday and into the early part of next week. As far as weather this weekend, based on how it has been this week, you can expect nice sunny mornings with a good chance of afternoon showers. Although, we could get lucky and have starry skies with a beautiful almost 3/4 moon. The best surf areas this weekend would be Playitas in Manuel Antonio, Damas rivermouth, Del Rey, and some of the beach breaks north of Quepos such as Esterillos and Bejuco. *Don't forget about your local surf shop in Quepos, Burro Surf Shop. Here your are able to buy all surf accessories, surf clothing, etc..Also, for ding repairs and customized made surf boards, visit TULE aprox five minutes south of Quepos on the road to the Quepos hospital and airport.

(6) From David at Escuela D'Amore in Quepos - 1.

And now in ENGLISH -

HOW BIG ARE THE WAVES AND WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS? This week the tides measure 1.07 and 5.20 feet. The problem is that the waves are not very consistent. WHAT IS EXPECTED FOR THIS WEEKEND WITH RESPECT TO WEATHER AND WAVES? For the next weekend we are hoping for swell, at least there's lots of sun and many people enjoying it. We also hope for waves that let us get to surf whichever type of board. WHICH IS THE BEST PLACE FOR SURF IN YOUR AREA THIS WEEKEND? The best place for surf in M.A. is Playa Playitas, but also Isla Damas needs to be taken into account because here also there are waves that can raise the adrenaline to whichever surfer, whether you are a professional or beginner. HAVE A NOTICE OR EVENT COMING IN YOUR AREA? For the moment only that in D'AMORE school there are lots of students and most of them are surfers.
