NICOYA (N)
(1) Best Western, Tamarindo Vista Villas AREA WAVE HEIGHTS (faces) AND CONDITIONS (glassy): Wave heights are running at 3 to 5 feet at most south facing beaches. Conditions are glassy in the am when the offhosre winds are the best. The winds are turning onshore making for a bumpy ride early afternoon. WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): a slight sw should hold until Saturday for all south or west breaks. Playa negra has been showing in the head high range all week and should continue thru Saturday. The water is a little cold. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: Playa Negra, Playa Langosta and Playa Grande in T Bay are showing signs of good fun surf. Bring a longboard and go outside. NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS: Wingnut and crew will be in town next week filming. If you happen up on the crew, smile for the camera. A Wingnut party will be held at the Monkey Bar-Best Western Vista Villas on May 5th. Stop by! Rumour has it that a new Robert August surf shop will be opening soon - brought to you by Vista Villas - Best Western.

JACO & HERMOSA (JH)
(3) Tommy at Fuego del Sol Playa Hermosa - has Head high 6 foot faces. The corners at Pig Farm has great shape and ride ability two football fields worth on a good set Glass, Glassy in the morning and slight texture in the afternoon. We are expecting a medium to large south to be here by the weekend. Our guests mostly surfed there and at the Tulin River Mouth were we saw overhead surf and looong rides on the southwest sets.

(4) Chuck from Surf Outfitters - AREA WAVE HEIGHTS (faces) AND CONDITIONS (glassy): jaco out front th.a.m. 2-3ft and superfun just got out of the water WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): looks like more of the same just tides wrong for jaco so hermosa is the spot definetly plays hermosa and expect sunny a.m. and possible showers in the p.m. NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS: La Chosita Del Surf just got a bunch of new custom x body boards in both normal and the new stringered models , next week due to arrive new erie peeples shortboards and a new batch of ron neff alumalite funboards and 1st week of may we get our new Lindens in !

(5) Mark from The Garden Café - AREA WAVE HEIGHTS (faces) AND CONDITIONS (glassy): shoulder to head high hermosa to tulin every morning glassy till about 9to10 am WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): not much BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: hermosa NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS: nothing towns dead but thats good when you can sneak out and surf escondida all by yourself head high and perfect where were you????????

QUEPOS & MANUEL ANTONIO (QMA)
(6) David, at La Escuela De Idiomas D'Amore, Quepos 1-¿Cuánto miden y cómo son las condiciones de las olas? 1- La latura de las olas no es muy variable aquí en Manuel Antonio, por ejemplo, el lunes de esta semana el instituto mareográfico de C.R. reportó olas de 8,20 pies y hoy miércoles midieron 8,40 pies, o sea, se mantienen casi en un mismo tamaño. En cambio las condiciones si cambian cada vez, las olas son mas tranquilas, suaves, claras, y buenas. 2-¿Qué esperan este fin de semana conrespecto al tiempo y las olas? Los surfeadores de la zona aserguran que es muy probable que llueva debido a que ya estamos entrando a la estación lluviosa. Pero aseguran que para este fin de semana las olas van a ser iguales que hasta el momento. 3-¿Cuál es el mejor lugar para surfear en su área este fin de semana? Playa Playitas. 4-¿Hay algunas noticia o eventos venideros? nada

(7) Greg's house, Casa del Mar, Dominical - Skunked on the last swell, it was too much from the south and only hit the Osa peninsula at Pan Dulce. This week might give us a more SW swell, with waves only a little bigger than the head-high stuff we're getting now for the incoming tides. Full Moon Party with Pollo Asado (that's oven-roasted chicken), Friday - April 30th, with 2 DJs - Reggae and Dance Music at Paco's Pool Bar, Hotel Rio Lindo.

CARRIBEAN (C)
No report, but the editor's guess is head high surf and bigger for the beach breaks for Sunday through Thursday. Good chance at catching Salsa, too.
