NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Wake up Tuesday to clean chest to head high surf, lots of fun waves for a fish or longboard. Best peaks get an overhead set each hour. Expect the same through Friday, and then a couple of sets a foot overhead Saturday - but only for incoming tide. Then it's back to small, chest high with rare bigger sets all the way through next Friday. On the 25th, you'll finally see some overhead South swell.

Caribbean - Tuesday morning shows waist high surf with an occasional chest high set. By dusk, the waves get more consistent, with a few bigger sets on the reefs. Wednesday wakes up to fun surf, but the swell fades after midday and leave only a few more chest high sets every half hour. Thursday is back to waist high, and it stays like that through Saturday with some wide scattered bigger sets all weekend.

AREA REPORTS

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande - (11/10)

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The off shores are here. The surf is small, but good, in the head high range.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Probably a little smaller and most likely rideable at an earlier tide.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: , Although the main peak in front of the hotel is characteristically more consistent and crowded, we are seeing good waves everywhere in the north end of the bay

** From Colin at Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo (11/3)-

It's another beautiful day today. The surf is small but looks great for longboarding. Now that it hasn't rained for a few days, the water is starting to clean up. Check out our new webcam to see how the surf looks for yourself.

** From photographer John Lyman, Lyman Photos in Playa Negra - (11/1)

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The late season SW swell during the week has all but faded into waist to chest high waves with fair shape. Sunny skies and offshore wind all day is signaling less rain as the dry season is upon us here at Playa Negra. The water temp the last few days has been a chilly 72 degrees.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Small surf is going to be around for the next week or so. Waist to chest high with the best time at mid tide coming up.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: We have a very low tide running through the mid mornings this week and with the small surf, check out Playa Negra either really early or later in the afternoon as the tide comes in.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: Check out photos from the last SW swell we had here at Playa Negra. www.lymanphotos.sbpix.com

** From Erik at SurfingNosara.com in Playa Guiones - (11/11)

Well, our run of weather continues!!! It is a week now of perfect sunny skies and offshores, if only we still had a macking swell... but you'll never hear me complain... Surf this morning in Guiones is in the waist high range, there may still be lingering bigger sets, as every half-hour yesterday a real nice wave would roll through, and catch everyone inside... It is going to be another "Sprout" session on the retro twinz this morning... and a nice relaxing sunday... You guys have fun, play with your kids and catch a few where ever you are..

** From Hotel Buenisimo in Santa Teresa (Mal Pais) - (11/10)-

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Dropped considerably on Friday. Still lots of peaky, clean chest high waves.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: All beaches breaking with good shape & peaks
