NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Small chest to head high waves for most of the coast on Monday and Tuesday. The first overhead sets arrive Wednesday afternoon and get to a foot overhead by Thursday. It's not a big SSW swell, but fun overhead surf will stick around Friday and Saturday. By Sunday it's gone, back to chest high, and you'll have to wait until next Thursday morning for a powerful swell to arrive from the Southwest.

Caribbean - Surf on Monday is chest to head high with overhead sets arriving every 15 minutes from the East. Swell builds Tuesday up to 1-2 foot overhead, but gets a little inconsistent Wednesday with 2 foot overhead only on the sets. Thursday drops quickly down to chest high by noon and Friday and Saturday look small, only waist high with a chest high peak at the primo spots. No more swell through next Sunday evening.

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Tamarindo surf is small right now and predicted to be that way into next week. Waves are waist high as the tide comes in. Winds have been on shore most of the day with some afternoon rains, but less than expected for August. Las olas en Tamarindo son pequenas y estaran asi durante el fin de semana. El tamano es de a la cintura cuando sube la marea. El viento ha sido on shore todo el dia con un poco de lluvia en las tardes, pero no tanto para que sea agosto.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): This weekend we expect beautiful mornings for a beach walk at low tide and small surf for your longboard in the afternoon. Este fin de semana esperamos lindas mananas para caminar en la playa a la marea baja y olas pequenas en la tarde para su longboard.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: Playa Grande, Playa Langosta. If you're in Tamarindo, Pico Pequeno has a little wave at high tide and the beach break as well. Playa Grande o Playa Langosta. Si estas en Tamarindo, Pico Pequeno tiene una ola pequena a la marea alta y la playa principal tambien.

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The week started off with amazing off shore, overhead surf and has now dropped down to glassy and shoulder high. The backwash at high
tides is adding considerable bounce.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): Daybreak sessions are possible for the outgoing tide now and should be fun for several hours with the small swell. Every day has the potential to be a little better as the moon loses strength and the high tide approaches daybreak.

Hey....surfers. A small saturday surf. We woke up with on shore winds and we surf all morning with this wind. Some sets were about 3/4 ft, but not really consistent. Incoming tide was the best time for surf in the afternoon. Lots of rain and some lighting help a lot to make everything clean. Swell is going down for the next 2 days. Pura Vida - Ed

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The surf has been unusually small the last few days. It should pick up a bit the first of the week and a bit more by mid week. The weather has been great. Sunny and offshore in the mornings and not much rain in the afternoons.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Expect small waist high waves with some head high waves by mid week. We should be getting back into the seasonal rain in the afternoons after this great dry spell we've been having.

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Only around waist high, but glassy with slight offshore wind. Extremely high tide from the full moon a couple days ago, deffinately slowing down most the breaks. Surf a couple hours before or after high tide. Better for the begginers towards low tide.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): The swell should be building up over the weekend and peaking on Sunday. Winds should remain light to moderate, turning offshore when storms come from the mountains. Still dealing with a very high tide throughout the weekend.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: Best spot in Samara is right in front of the Las Brisas Del Pacifico Hotel. No localism or crowds. Waves may not be as big as other cities, but mellow and safe beach break, with extremely easy access. Perfect for surfers of all levels.

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Waves Saturday were 3 ft faces quite sloppy and from about 3 diferent directions as well ¡ Still fun but less than optimum conditions for sure . Weather is a go with clean sunny mornings and rainy afternoons , should get better for the afternoon today as well.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Probably more of the same with a chance of increase in size as well , great tides so heres hoping ¡
