NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Waves are clean this weekend at chest to head high, with a
few
overhead set waves arriving Saturday afternoon and into Sunday with a
long 14
second period. Monday things get smaller in the Central and South
coasts, but a
near shore swell develops off the Guanacaste coast and stays around
Tuesday.
Later in the week nothing big is expected from the north or south.

Caribbean - It's flat now, but in two days another ENE swell fills in
the coast
with some chest high fun waves. By Tuesday, surf be head high and size
will
stay the same through Wednesday. Not a lot of rain expected either.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

** From Carrie and Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS -
A hefty West started showing yesterday. Thursday was well over head and
good
form in spite of the fluky wind. The sand bars are almost as good as
they get
resulting in a lot of quality surf. The crowds are staying in Tamarindo
where
the brunt of this swell is hitting and we are getting some very nice
shape,
even though it's a little smaller. The afternoon glass off Wed.
afternoon was a
rush with hardly anyone out. Tamano de las olas y condiciones:

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de
semana (clima y olas):
The high tides are in the afternoon so the waves here are a gamble with
all the
afternoon on shores we've been experiencing.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA -
The whole bay is lighting up, so pick your spot and hope the wind
cooperates.

** From Marco at Tropico Latino Lodge in Santa Teresa -

DOMINICAL & SOUTHERN PACIFIC

** From Greg at the Adventure Education Center in Dominical-

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones:
Got to surf a mid afternoon session with only a light wind and right
before the
masses arrived (more like 20 people) Waves broke about chest high with
some
sneaker overhead sets that closed out a little early. Still a lot of
fun.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de
semana (clima y olas):
NW swell won't be that strong, but noticable, producing some long rides
at the
more defined sandbars. Best early Sunday morning, if it's dry.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear
este
fin de semana en su area:
Sunset sessions have been the best at an empty beachbreak.
