1) From Carrie at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande
(Welcome back!!)

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y
condiciones:

This week saw great waves, with a nice size swell and
offshore conditions. The swell dropped quite a bit by
Thursday, but there were still some overhead sets for the
morning session. The waves were chest high for the Thursday
evening session, with the occasional head high wave, with
offshore winds picking up the last two hours before dark
making for nice shape.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a
pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas):

Plenty of offshores and long morning sessions.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor

3) From Steve at Tropico Latino Lodge in Santa Teresa (Mal
Pais) -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS & CONDITIONS:

Swell has dropped over the last couple of days to shoulder
high. Conditions are clean, as you would expect - though we
got onshores a little earlier than usual this morning.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND:

A swell forming off SW Mexico may or may not push in to
Central America. If the former happens there should be
classic W swell conditions. There will also be crowds as
the christmas holidays start on Saturday.

BEST PLACE TO SURF IN YOUR AREA:

Playa Carmen with the morning high tide.

JACO & HERMOSA

3) From Tommy at Fuego del Sol in Playa Hermosa -

The waves are still on the small side around Upper Hermosa
(waist to chest high). Further down the beach , around
Corners and Tulin, it´s bigger (maybe head high sets). High
tide this morning is around 8:00AM. Bejuco (past
Esterillos) would also be a good spot to find a head high
wave, also. Good luck. Dennis Christopher and Tobit McLean,
are doing their Endless Summer Surf Clinics, so, call Tobit
