AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

1) From Diana at Robert August Surf Shop in Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y
condiciones:

Summer mornings and winter afternoons have made for small
off-shore sessions early in the day if you like to
longboard. Waves are tiny: maybe waist or chest high if
you're lucky.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a

More of the same! The afternoon low tides mean that in
Tamarindo the time to surf is morning. If we get rainy
mornings this weekend, fix your board or learn to sew...
aprenda cocer...

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor

My fingers are crossed for Langosta, an incoming mid-tide
break that should be prime although small) for dawn patrol.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales:

Two Halloween parties this week! Begin at Best Western's
Monkey Bar at sunset and continue to Pasatiempo's anual
bash.

2) From Steve at Tropico Latino Lodge in Santa Teresa -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS:

Lots of rain this week; however weather has been improving
since yesterday evening though surf is still untidy with
early onshores. Not much swell around either with sets a
mushy chest high.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND:

Not much swell, but hopefully cleaner conditions.

BEST PLACE TO SURF:

Playa Carmen usually works best in small conditions on the
incoming tide; pack a longboard.

JACO & HERMOSA

3)Tommy at Fuego del Sol in Playa Hermosa -

The waves are smaller today, but glassy with no wind.
Corners is probably the best bet to find a head high wave.
High tide is around 11:30AM. Hopefully soon we will be
seeing some more swell. Our in house pros are Dennis
Christopher and Tobit McLean. They are doing their Endless
Summer Surf Clinics so, call Tobit for details and info 506

4) From Jason and Carla at Green Iguana Surf Camp in
Dominical:

Well, Mono Gato came close, but no cigaro. A ripper from
Limon, a Salsa local, won the contest. The pic below is of
the winner, pulling the floater of the day during the
final.
