Caribbean - The Caribean has been the side to hit on your trip, this week it should continue to be "Salsa" hot, dread Josh in Puerto Viejo is loving it. As long as winter storms go off the east coast of the U.S. - watch for em.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): The slightly Westish swell is hitting all the breaks in Playa Grande and Tamarindo. The stylish right at Chicken Head Rock is showing some form at bout shoulder high and is very consistent. The breaks in front of the hotel have been running waist to head high for several days with perfect form although a little inconsistent. The crowds have been light. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: All the breaks are good. Watch the rivermouth if it comes up. The high tides are moving to daybreak for the weekend for the offshores in the morning.

(3) From Steve at Tropicos Latinos in Santa Teresa (next to Mal Pais) - LOCAL WAVE HEIGHTS & CONDITIONS: There has been clean waist to shoulder high surf throughout the week. Waves have remained clean and winds offshore throughout the morning with classic evening glass offs. WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND: With a big NW swell scheduled to arrive this weekend and the clean conditions set to continue now that the dry season is in, it should be a brilliant weekend. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND: Tides, size and direction should be perfect for Sta Teresa.
