SWELL DIRECTION -- DIRECIÓN DEL SWELL

Pacific - A WSW swell should increase by Sunday for the evening high tide and keep coming until Wednesday when it will shift to more from the South. A great time to hit Ollie's in the morning.
Caribbean - Afternoon onshore winds and storms should kick up a little surf, but nothing major is headed to that coast. Great snorkeling and fishing in the early morning.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)
(1) From Hotel Café de Paris in Nosara- AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: Playa Guiones : Good 5 -6 feet but messy. A lot of guy's from Virginia Beach "longboarder" . WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): No swell coming back before the end of the week. But still good conditions to surf. Probably better with short boards. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: Playa Guiones NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS: The arrival of the turtle in Ostional for the last day.

JACO & HERMOSA (JH)
(2) From Juan at Terraza del Pacifico in Hermosa - Waves from 5 o6 fts in the morning, very consistant glass, with fast tubular sections. Peaks all over the Killer Reef spot, but allways our clasic Right wave is goin off.
The weather is sunnny all day with rain on the afternoon, Our surf report is in:
http://www.terraza-del-pacifico.com/surf_report/surf_i.html

(3) From Tommy at Hotel Fuego del Sol in Hermosa - Hello from Playa Hermosa. We are currently under surf 4 feet out of the south southwest. We are supposed to be receiving a big one Southwest 200 -210 this weekend (the big one's are always on the weekend, Go figure) . Know your limits out there on the big days. If you can't do it get out before you hurt someone or, yourself. We are still mourning the death of our Gym Trainer whom recently drown surfing behind the Hotel on a big day. We will be putting guards and equipment up on our beaches to help the lifesaving. Surf Aware out there. Stay Tuned with Playa Hermosa at http://fuegodelsol.com Alohas Pura Vidas!!!

(4) From Chuck at Chosita del Surf in Jaco - AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: Jaco surf 3-5 glassy a bit mushy with the p.m. tides but quite fun still ,been raining for 5 days straight with almost no wind ! WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): surf should hold thru the weekend and expect the same of the weather according to the natl weather service! BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: unless something changes stick to the beachbreaks. Hermosa has some size and it is quite peaky due to the wind swell type of conditions that we have ! NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS: Nov. 27th surf contest at terraza! Juniors in the day and open at nite, great prizes and good times !

(5) From Mike at Villa Hermosa - CHEST HIGH SOME BIGGER SETS , CHOPPY. WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): PROBABLY THE SAME EXPECT HEAD SETS SOME RAIN GLASSY IN A.M. HIGH AROUND 6 FOR WEEKEND

QUEPOS & MANUEL ANTONIO (QMA)
(6) From Alacran Tours in Manuel Antonio - WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: This past week (or two), it has been a real batttle. Early morning sessions are the only savior...favorable winds and waist-shoulder high waves. In Playitas, sets hit shoulder high + but were plagued by mushy conditions. WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): With a small swell expected for the weekend, we are expecting/hoping for a slight improvement in local conditions. Look for Playitas to reach head high in the morning. Scattered afternoon showers have affected the surf recently and we expect more of the same. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: Best bet for this weekend will be Playitas at low tide rising. Also, for those looking for heavier sets, check out El Rey to the south or Bejuco to the north. NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS: All hotels/local businesses: Our new office is open (777-1721) and if you are interested in placing your brochures and/or any other information, please send anything to us by bus to the Quepos bus terminal w/ Atencion: ALACRAN SURF TOURS and call to let us know. IF not, you can send anything to our Aerocasillas PO Box in San Jose (ALACRAN SURF TOURS - SJO-3140).

DOMINICAL & SOUTHERN PACIFIC (D)
(8) From Hotel Rio Lindo in Dominical - AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND: The first hours after dawn should be the best!! Get up early to get on it. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: In front of the White House. UPCOMING EVENTS: Make plans for Thanksgiving italian style at La Capanna, or have some turkey at San Clemente
