Pacific - SSW, hitting South and SW facing beaches
Caribbean - Light East, not much juice for Salsa


AREA WAVE HEIGHTS (faces) & CONDITIONS --

NICOYA (N)
T Bay - head high to overhead, showing throughout the week at all southwest facing beaches. No reported pests. Witch's & Ollies' has been showing headhigh waves and should continue until Saturday. Winds are running off-shore all day and gusts of 40 knots are blowing down wavecaps. Best surfing conditions early morning. Down to one surf session a day on all reef breaks. Some sand breaks are holding through the day.
In front of Hotel las Tortugas - 3 to 5 ft., offshores all day, excellent clarity
JACO & HERMOSA (JH)
Jaco 3-4 feet, Hermosa was bigger @ 6- feet with some boomer sets, unamed rocky point near roca loca was big and gnarly mid day Glassy in the a.m. onshore hard til 4 p.m. then slight glass off. Water is super clean and swell real clean too. No bugs or sea lice today just a few dolphins !
QUEPOS & MANUEL ANTONIO (QMA)
Sunday - Tuesday we have enjoyed PURA VIDA weather, with lots of sun. The wind has been calm, but a little choppy in the afternoon. According to the surfers, waves are glassy, breaking clean. A little jellyfish detachments that might sting (random) have been found, but aren't a big deal.

DOMINICAL (D)
Thur. morning was chest to overhead with long sections. 10kt south winds blowing but waves kept form, bigger closeouts every 12 minutes. Partly Cloudy

CARIBBEAN (C)
Waves are still about 3ft, Salsa was giving some action in the morning.


FORECASTS & BEST SPOT --

NICOYA (N)
Not much happening in the surf over the early part of next week, however a new Pacific cycle is showing swell coming in around the 19th of March. Keep an eye on Playa Grande, Playa Negra for a dawn patrol surf out in the am.

JACO & HERMOSA (JH)
Check the beach breaks at Hermosa and Jaco, the most consistent of C.R.
QUEPOS & MANUEL ANTONIO (QMA)
The best place for surf in Manuel Antonio is without a doubt, Playitas. There you'll find the best waves. This weekend, the waves measured 6 feet at Playitas. The surfers here assure you that you'll have the best tides and waves in the area.


DOMINICAL (D)
Predict 6-8 ft. face SSW swell for the weekend, check white houses to see midday bulge, or travel to head high south beaches.
CARIBBEAN (C)
The feeling is that the sea is gradually dropping in the next few days.

(N) For the tired surfers, Pasatiempo rooms has A/C, terrace, hammock, pool, and one of the best restaurants in town with pool tables and good prices.

(QMA) This week, unhappily, we don't have special activities for this weekend. Las week, some surfers were showing off their talents to a group of D'Amore students watching from the beach and doing homework.

Caribean - Este un poco, no mucho jugo por Salsa


TAMANA DE LAS OLAS y CONDICIÓNES -

NICOYA (N)
El bahía es 6 a 7 pies, mostrando entre la semana a todas playas del sudoeste. No agua malas. Witch's y Ollie's han mostrado 6 pies y debe conseguir hasta sabado. Vientos son 40 kts. y offshore. Los mejores condiciónes son temprano. Solomente puede surfear un vez a olas arrecifes pero playas de arena estan mantiendo entre el día.
En frente de Hotel las Tortugas - 3 a 5 pies, vientos offshore, muy clara

JACO Y HERMOSA (JH)
Jaco 3 a 4 pies, Hermosa fue mas grande con olas de 6 pies con sets fuertes, sin llamada punto cerca de Roca Loca fue gordo media día. Tranquila en la mañana, viento onshore hasta 4, entonces tranquila un vez mas. El mar esta muy limpia y el swell tambien. Nada mala, solo delfines en el agua.
QUEPOS Y MANUEL ANTONIO (QMA)
El domingo, el lunes y el martes hemos gozado de un clima PURA VIDA en Manuel Antonio, con sol fuerte (fantástico). El viento por la mañana ha estado tranquilo, pero por la tarde ha estado un poco agitado.

Según los muchachos de la playa (SURFEADORES ) las OLAS han estado tranquilas, reventando suavemente y
muy claras. HILO DE ORO (agua viva). HILO DE ORO son las extremidades que se les desprenden a algunas medusas y quedan en la orilla de la playa; dichas extremidades ortigan (they sting) y el dolor que las personas sienten es similar al de una cortada.

DOMINICAL (D)
Jueves en la mañana tuvo olas de 5 a 7 pies con partes largos. Vientos de 10kt pero olas mantenieron buena forma, closeouts mas grande todos los doce minutos. En parte nublado.
CARIBEAN (C)
Aún las olas son 3 pies, Salsa daba algo acción en la mañana.


PRONÓSTICO y MEJOR LUGAR -

NICOYA (N)
Nada mucho pasando en el surf durante la semana temprano pero un ciclo del Pacifico esta llagando con swell sobre el 19 de Marzo.
Viligan de cerca en Playa Grande, Playa Negra para un surf en la madrugada.
En frente del Hotel Las Tortugas.
JACO y HERMOSA (H)
Mire a ambos playas, con las olas mas consistente de Costa Rica.
QUEPOS y MANUEL ANTONIO (QMA)
El mejor lugar para surfear en Manuel Antonio es sin duda alguna PLAYA PLAYITAS; allí encontramos las mejores OLAS de la zona. Este fin de semana, las OLAS llegaron a medir hasta 6 pies en PLAYA
PLAYITAS; los surfeadores de la zona aseguran que aquí hemos tenido las mejores mareas y las mejores OLAS para SURFEAR.
DOMINICAL (D)
Predigo olas miden 6 a 8 pies, con un swell SSO para este fin de semana. Mire las casa blancas o vieje a las playas de sur para olas de 6 pies.
CARIBEAN (C)
El sentido es que el mar esta cayendo gradualmente en los días próximos.

"Lo escuché en el mar"
(N) Para los surfeadores consados, Pasatiempo tiene A/C, terraza, amaca, piscina, y uno de los mejores restaurantes en la zona con mesas de billar y precios baratos.
(JH) Se rumorea que hay un torneo para 20 de Marzo en Terraza del Pacifico en la noche. Mas tarde.. Y resultos del Torneo en Galapagos - Tercera Lugar a
Alvaro Solano de Jaco y Berok, La Chosita del Surf y Tablas Fry. Séptimo lugar a Diego Naranjo de Jaco
y La Chosita del Surf, Tablas Erie y El Realm - Buen trabajo, hombres !!!
(QMA) Esta semana, por desgracia, no tenemos actividades especiales en Manuel Antonio. El fin de semana pasado, algunos surfeadores se lucieron en sus tablas haciendo unas y muchas piruetas, mientras los miraban los estudiantes de la ESCUELA D'AMORE que se encontraban haciendo la tarea en la playa.
(D) Osa Peninsula cayó de 6 a 3 pies entre lunes y miercoles, y entonces que para el futúro?
