DOMINICAL
Greg at Villas Rio Mar (787-0052) 1. Offshore in the morning, light onshore around 10:30 until late afternoon with a few afternoon showers. 2. beach break before high tide. 3. Waves headhigh 4. Glassy all day 5. nada 6. The swells up north don't quite make it here, but headhigh leftovers that wrap from north to west-southwest make it a nice weekend. BEACH CLEANUP - SATURDAY - 10 A.M.
PLAYA JACO & HERMOSA
Chosita del Surf in Jaco (643-1308) chucks@sol.racsa.co.cr reported: 1. Jaco, Hermosa area - sorry, but its small. Rumor has a big west for the weekend. If it gets big its going to be Roca Loca or T-bowls for sure. If small to med, just drive on down to Tulin. 2. out front Wed. a.m. Small, maybe waist high but tides just starting to push by 9 am 3&4. glassy, light offshores 5. lots of bait fish 6. Night surf at Terraza del Pacifico this weekend and I just got a batch of brand new Eerie Peeples funboards in the shop. Stop by and check them out.
NICOYA PENINSULA
From Patti at The Monkey Bar & Best Western - Vista Villas Tamarindo "Guanacaste's Surf Connection" (653-0114) tamvv@sol.racsa.co.cr . 1. The swell is picking up on Wed with a small SW. Playa Grande and Playa Negra will pick up late on Wed. and should hold until Thurs. when a new nw swell should start coming in. NW swell - Beaches to check - Langosta, Tam. Rivermouth & Playa Avellannes. 2. Wed and Thursday chest to head high on the sw, by late Friday swell should switch out to nw bringing in head high sets to exposed beaches. Swell should hold until Tuesday. 3. Cool with water temps in the high 70's. Winds holding offshore throughout the day with occassional shifts due to passing clouds. 4. Offshore winds are keeping the waves clean and glassy. Early morning surf will not be coming in until Monday. 5. We still have a few sea lice in the area, but a little limon will take care of it. 6. Live music throughout the month in Tamarindo.

Mel Baker at ATEC replied (750-0188): "Right now it looks as though the sea is dropping & smoothing out. Not much in the way of waves."
** Petra from La Isla Inn from Cocles (750-0109) said that the waves were smaller, about 1 meter, with good form and glassy.

Greg de Villas Rio Mar (787-0052) 1."Offshore" en la mañana, "onshore" sobre 10:30 hasta la tarde con un poquito lluvia. 2. la playa antes de marea alta. 3. olas hasta la cabeza 4. Vidrioso todo el día. 5. nada 6. Los "swells" del norte no vienen aqui pero hay residuos que envuelen desde el norte al oeste-suloeste. Va a ser un fin de semana buena. LIMPIEZA DE LA PLAYA ESTE SABADO - 10 A.M.!
PLAYA JACO & HERMOSA
Chosita del Surf in Jaco (643-1308) chucks@sol.racsa.co.cr reportó: 1. Jaco, Hermosa - Lo siento, pero es pequeña. Rumor tiene a "swell" grande del oeste para el fin de semana. Si es grande entonces va a ser Roca Loca o T-Bowls porseguro. Si es pequeña, conduzca abajo a Tulin. 2. Afuera, miercoles en la mañana: pequeña, hasta la cintura pero mareas estan empujando para 9:00. 3.&4. vidrioso, "offshore". 5. muchas sardinas 6. Surf en la noche a Terraza del Pacifico y recibí un grupo de "funboards" nuevas de Eerie Peeples. Venga y mirélos!

El swell estuvo creciendo a miercoles con un suroeste pequeña. Playa Grande y Negra progresarán tarde a miercoles hasta jueves, cuando un swell nuevo empiece. Playas mejores para un well de norte-oeste: Langosta, Tam. boca del rio, y Avellannes. Vaya a pagina 2 para mas de Nicoya y otras playas !! J Pura Vida [
2. Para viernes en la tarde, el swell cambia a norte-oeste trayendo olas hasta su cabeza a las playas expuestas. Swell debe mantener hasta martes 3. Casualidad con tempuraturas de agua en los 70's F. Vientos "offshores" y cambiando con las nublados 4. limpia y vidrioso. No surf temprano hasta lunes. 5. Un poquito ellos de oro, pero limon ayuda. 6. Música viva en Tamarindo todo el mes.

** Petra de La Isla Inn en la playa de Cocles (750-0109) dice que en frente las olas son mas pequeñas, de taman de uno metro, con formas buenas y vidrioso.
