Glassy conditions in the afternoon with storms moving in late afternoons. WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): A sw will start to show on Wenesday with wave heights 4-8 at sw breaks. Storms early evenings. SW will begin breaking down by Saturday and smaller surf expected early part of next week. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: Thursday-Saturday - Playa Negra mid morning, Ollie's and Witch's holding well with head high plus surf. Will change direction Friday. High tide at 12 noon on Thursday. NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS: Best Western Tamarindo - It's a Leatherback rock and roll Happy Hour Saturday night. Taco Bar and Beer specials.

(2) Nela from Las Tortugas Hotel in Playa Grande - AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: The tides have been high in the morning this week which is best for Playa Grande. The swell has been running well overhead in front of the hotel with monster sets. The wind is rarely off shore and except for an hour or two each day has made for messy conditions. WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): The tides are moving into the afternoon and unless we have a freak off shore wind condition, the surf here will probably not be good. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: The Tamarindo Rivermouth should have possibilities in the early morning.

(3) Steve from Tropico Latino Lodge in Santa Teresa - AREA WAVE HEIGHTS 5'-6' SW. This swell has never really cleaned up, however there have been decent waves at Sta Teresa a.m. among the close outs. Playa Carmen not breaking so well despite favourable tides WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND Weather clearing up today so hopefully surf will clean up. Swell is supposed to drop so should be more organized. BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA As the high tide moves towards p.m., Santa Teresa will be the best spot, with the possibility of late p.m session at carmen if the wind behaves.
