NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Chest high surf with a few head high sets are the call Tuesday through Thursday. Friday it grows a foot from a SW swell mixed with some waves from the West, sticking around for the weekend. It's back to chest high by Monday and nothing major for all next week. Head to the Caribbean this weekend!

Caribbean - Surf is waist high Tuesday with the first sets arriving once an hour - chest to head high. Wednesday the sets come more frequently, every half hour, and by Thursday evening sets are a foot overhead. Friday the ENE swell arrives in full force, 1-2 foot overhead, and all weekend a few 3+ foot overhead sets make the reefs dreamy.

AREA REPORTS (sent in on 11/25 or posted)

** From Keith at Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo (11/26)-

Today, we went to the avellanes rivermouth for the contest. the waves were not really over waist high...but the wind was good, so it was pretty clean and fun. Tomorrow should be the start of a rise in the swell. i'll let you know how it goes.

** From John at Lyman Photos in Playa Negra/Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The waves have been in the waist high range for the last few days with strong offshore winds all day. I guess the rainy season is over.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Look for continued small surf in the waist to maybe chest high range for the next few days. Beautiful beach weather though.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: The surf is going to be small until Wednesday when it should start to pick up and may get to head high to a little bit over head by Thursday. It's high tide running through the mornings this week and will really shut down the little swell we have. Afternoons will be the best bet on the incoming tides. Try Playa Grande or Playa Negra in the afternoon.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: Check out photos from today's surf at Playa Negra. www.lymanphotos.sbpix.com

** From Harry at Coconut Harrys Surf Shop in Playa Guiones -

It's small, but some fun sets hitting around higher tides, so as Craig Sutton from Jax Beach, FL says "It's all about the tide". At least the winds have stopped howling and its warm & sunny now. Pura Vida, Ccconut Harry

** From Sunrise at the Samara Surf School -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The swell has backed way down, some 3 foot waves rolling into our safely protected bay...... But with such incredible form and beautiful shape, it makes surfing fun. Grab your long boards and come on down to samara beach, off shore winds beautiful morning and evening sesh's.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): The new moon has already passed so we are in the middle of the cycle, hopefully we'll see some size in the next week, but for this weekend mostly just 3 foot killer barrels rolling in. Lots of wind, offshore at times with lots of sun on it's way. Welcome to the dry season.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: Best spot in Samara is right in front of the Las Brisas Del Pacifico Hotel. No localism or crowds. Waves may not be as big as other cities, but mellow and safe beach break, with extremely easy access. Perfect for surfers of all levels.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: **A new after school program and local library have been developed. All thanks to our lovely Maria Schwab, via Intercultura spanish school. Foundation CREAR- come help and be a part of inspiring our future, the youth. www.fundacioncrear.org **Also help support our local recycling program, find an item and RECYCLE IT!

** From Chuck at Walking on Water Surf Shop in Jaco -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Jaco out front 2/3 ft and real clean and glassy ¡ Surf and Spike has really seen nice condition if a bit small for my taste . Final results will be posted on www.wowsurf.net on Monday! Alls well in Jaco had a bit of a preseason rush here the last few days and if this is a sign of things to come we are not ready ! Town is talking that prebook on rooms is running through Jan. 15 th 90% capacity and overbooking is happening at the larger hotels. Alvaro Solano at Vista Guapa Surf Camp is after dec.15 th booked solid thru Feb. and then remains busy thru March and Spring Break. If you are a school owner and need equpiment for the spring break period you only have a few days left to place your orders for 5 th March Delivery of N.S.P.and Sunset surfboards. Great prices and fantastic product. To see the boards go to www.globalsurfindustries.com and call me for school prices and wholesale . Pura Vida, Chuck and the CREW at W.O.W. SURF.

** From Brice at Land Assurance in Dominical -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: Shoulder high waves with good runs at mid-tide and lower. Higher tides are mushy and require longer boards.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Sadly, the same.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: Hermosa or Dominical at lower tides.

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Today's overhead surf is gone tomorrow, head high leftovers from the WSW. Friday is smaller still, chest high with only a couple of head high sets each hour. The same for Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and only by Tuesday will the head high sets return. For the weekend it will be even smaller at the lower tides, so grab that longboard.

Caribbean - Head high with 1-2 foot overhead sets surf greets the dawn patrollers with a solid North swell hitting the coast with a 8 second period. Swell starts to fade by Thursday afternoon and by Friday it's down to head high with a lot fewer big sets. Saturday it drops another foot to chest high, and by Sunday the swell is gone. Waist high leftovers for Monday and Tuesday, and a glimmer of chest high hope on Thursday.

AREA REPORTS (sent in on 11/19 or posted)

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: We've had strange conditions here all week with both good and bad surf in the head high range. Saturday was head high and on shore in the afternoon for high tide, but there was enough shape to have a good time. A hand full of surfers were in the water after a short rain fall and caught some great off shore bowls before the tide dropped out completely.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): The high tide is in the afternoon and the surf will continue to be tricky until Mon. or Tues when we are going to get hit with all day off shores as our off shore season moves in.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: In spite of the lack of off shores, all the breaks around the hotel are working and fun.

** From Keith at Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo (11/22)-

Marbella was very good yesterday morning. waist to shoulder high and great conditions. it was the first day with strong offshores all day long. the first 4 pictures are from there. The rivermouth was clean also, although much smaller, at about knee to thigh high, with some waist high sets. Playa grande had good condtions too, but with about the same size as the rivermouth.

** From John at Lyman Photos in Playa Negra/Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The waves have been a bit overhead with a few way overhead sets. Conditions are different everyday with everything from beautiful sunny offshores to onshore blownout at sunrise. Rain in the afternoons almost everyday.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Expect small surf. We are losing this past weeks southswell. As the rainy season comes slowly to an end, look for less rain and more offshore wind.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: The tide is pretty low all this coming week right through the middle of the mornings. With the small surf on tap for the next few days, check out Playa Negra or Sapo's at Playa Langosta.

** From Harry at Coconut Harrys Surf Shop in Playa Guiones -

The rain has slacked off and so have the waves - diminished size with fun peaks around the higher tides. Light sideshore winds through mid afternoon, and then glassing off for sunset. Pura Vida

** From Chuck at Walking on Water Surf Shop in Jaco -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Yeah sure the rainy season is over, plenty wet here still but super good waves so no problems! Headhigh surf abounds at Hermosa on the incoming and gets fat at high tide but what the heck it doesnt matter ¡ Business is good and lost of tourists on the roads and I hope they use much care with their belongings because the thieves haven't gone away ! Surf and Spike this coming weekend at the Best Western so should be lots of fun ! Stop on by and get a free treasure map! Tuanis and Pura Vida, Chuck and the CREW at W.O.W. SURF !!!

** From Andrea at Waves CR Surf Camp in Playa Hermosa -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Dropped down a bit. But atleast the sun's been out!Yes definitely can tell Summertime is around the corner.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Waist to shoulder high in Hermosa, great conditions though, sunny, side shore, clean.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: I will definitely recommend the beach breaks down the beach. NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: Water Star 2007!

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - The week starts small, chest high for most of the coast with the rarest head high set. Then Tuesday a few overhead sets come in and by Wednesday overhead is the call, headhigh up north. By Saturday it's back down to head high, once again a foot smaller up north of Nosara.

Caribbean - The brief punch of head high swell dies quickly on Monday down to waist high by sunset. Then it's knee high for the rest of the week. Break out that snorkeling gear through Saturday.

AREA REPORTS (sent in on 11/11 or posted)

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The waves have been running head high to just over head with occasional decent shape (unusually good for this time of the year). The afternoon showers are helping to glass it off. There have been a few days this week that never cleaned up at all. There was some run off silt in the water on Thurs., but we haven't been hit by "chocolate milk" surf yet.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Now that high tide is moving into the morning hours, conditions should improve. We are not encouraging people to come out here right now, but you can take your chances with the light crowds.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: The swells are coming straight in and anywhere in the bay that's smooth is a possibility.

** From Keith at Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo (11/10)-

Today, the surf school went to La finca for their graduation trip. the waves were about chest high on the sets, which was bigger than here in tamarindo today. When we first got there, it was glassy, but after a couple hours or so, the wind turned onshore and chopped it up some. It was fun overall though. There may not be surf reports for about the next week, as I am going to peru with a bunch of the guys. Someone may take over for me while i'm gone...but maybe not..

** From John at Lyman Photos in Playa Negra/Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The surf has been small. Robbie says flat. Sunny mornings though with clouds in the afternoon. You can just feel the end of the rainy season that wasn't, just around the corner.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): The surf is going to pick up out of the SW. Look for it to start showing Saturday and should be well overhead by this coming Tuesday. It should stay that way into next weekend.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: We have high tide running through the morning this week so wait for the swell to start showing and head to Langosta. If it is too crowded for you there, try a few of the spots just south of there. Very uncrowded.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: Check out the brand new photo galleries from John Lyman Photos. Everything from Bikini Girls to thumpin Playa Negra. Check it all out at www.lymanphotos.sbpix.com

Small surf but good shape - longboards RULE! Best times early mornings - tide is right and winds are light. Pura Vida

** From Chuck at Walking on Water Surf Shop in Jaco -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Oh boy the circus is in town, ripping tearing and lacerating wild animals of the two legged fibreglass yielding variety ¡ Waves are fun if small around waist to heda high and hest at midtide right now in the afternoon, plenty of rain kept the animals cool in the midday and then the glassy conditions are on us ¡ Tomorrows event should be real cool to watch and yes the latin boys are killing it ¡ Come on down to the end of my street tomorrow and watch the action ¡ Hang-out and party for bit tomorrow nite and see the reef girls on Sunday ! Come on in and see the new TUFLITE 2s we just got in 100% waterproof and high memory blanks and feel so good in the hands ! Anyways alls good here and we would love to see you ! Chuck and the CREW at W.O.W. SURF !

** From Rancho Coral in Playa Esterillos -

Local Climate: Nice, Air Temp: 94F. Water Temp 87F, Direction & Height: South Southwest 2 to4 feet, Sea Surface: Glassy, Winds: South 3 MPH. Current Conditions: We have good swell for this weekend's Reef Classic Latin Pro. The Ticos are all advancing against some real hot surfers from all over Latin America. All Rancho Coral Groms passed through to the semi finals and we are hoping for a big finish from our Juniors. NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Sets a foot overhead greet dawn patrollers, and then grow to 2-3 foot overhead as the tide fills in throughout the morning on Monday. Tuesday the last sets roll in every half hour, 1-2 foot overhead on most of them. As the tide drops Tuesday evening, so does the swell and by Wednesday it's back to headhigh to overhead with smaller surf in the northern Nicoya. Thursday through Sunday is continued small surf, from waist high in Tamarindo to head high in Dominical and Esterillos. Some SSW arrives next Monday with more overhead sets, head high on the Guanacaste coast.

Caribbean - East swell pushes in head high surf to the beachbreaks with bigger sets on the reefs. Drops down to chest high by Tuesday afternoon with fewer sets.. Wednesday and Thursday are waist to chest, and Friday only waist high with a chest high set each hour. Some ESE swell on the horizon for the weekend, but it's too early to tell.

AREA REPORTS (sent in on 10/28 or posted)

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: We have been enjoying a nice, just overhead swell for the last few days. The summertime off shores are sculpting out perfect bowls for the light crowd. The wind is switching to on shore in the afternoon.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): It should be excellent for the morning high tides this week.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: The entire bay has peaks working all the way to Tamarindo.

** From Keith at Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo -

2 days ago (thursday), avellanes was really fun at avellanes. chest to head high + and clean conditions. the rivermouth in tamarindo was good as well. clean, although somewhat smaller.

yesterday (friday), we took a surf tour to marbella. it was glassy and big. nice barrels with offshore winds. it was about 4-7 feet. the outer reef was working at 6-8ft, some sets were bigger than that. The surf school went to La finca, where it was 4-6 feet on the sets, although it was somewhat less clean with light onshore winds.

and today, we went to avellanes. it was very glassy, although rather small, with waves about thigh to shoulder high. it was a perfect longboarding day.

** From John at Lyman Photos in Playa Negra/Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The surf has been big. Playa Negra has seen big closeout sets beyond the boil rock. Avellanas rivermouth was double overhead plus. Robbie got the barrel of his life. The weird weather is still with us and different everyday. Some nice mornings.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): The surf will come down a bit through the weekend with headhigh sets. By mid week the waves will pickup out of the south with way overhead sets. Low tide is right in the middle of the day so those morning sessions at Negra will be great with the outgoing tide all morning.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: At Avellanas the left in front of Lolas will be good for the weekend. Check out Negra at mid week. It will be going off.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: John Lyman will shoot you 40 times an hour. John Lyman Photos at www.lymanphotos.sbpix.com

** From Sunrise at the Samara Surf School -

rain is hitting the beautiful Samara beach this week, but looks like the swell is up. So bring your boards and come surfing. Good surf times are early mornings and mid day to late afternoons.

Nice glassy evening sesh's, with occasional wind and chop but some nice form. New and upcoming events: Samara is starting a recycle program now, benefitting the beach and the local school children.

Festival de Sabores - Samara 2006 February 17 from 12-8pm An international flavor festival, food and wine tastings from all of the different cultures living in the community.

Project Buena vista, goal is to raise $10,000 to help the local families, kids, schools and community.

** From Rancho Coral in Playa Esterillos -

Thanks for sending us swell to California where our team as risen to become one of the top contenders for the World Surfing Games here in Huntington Beach, California. The Costa Rican National Team has beaten so many other great teams such as Tahiti to place Eight overall out of Thirty Three and Fourth in the Tag Team Finals. Big Thanks to Jose Urena who has been such a huuuuge asset coaching and guiding The Costa Rican Team, Antonio Pilurzu and Christophe Commaieru Ellen Golden for their dedication and hard work supporting and bringing our Team to World Ranks, Pura Vida!

** From Brice at Land Assurance in Dominical -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: Tiny today (shoulder high with occasional head high), but should be swelling overhead by Sunday. A big swell looks like it is looming, but that probably won't arrive til next weekend.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): Sunday is showing a good possibility of a reasonable swell. The early morning and the evening sessions should both be good because of the tide.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: The beach at Dominical or Hermosa.

AREA REPORTS (sent in on 10/20 or posted)

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Big and stormy. Not very rideable at Grande since Monday when temporal-like weather moved in and doesnt' seem to want to go anywhere. Intermittent rain throughout the day with strong winds coming in off the ocean from the south.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Looks like more of the same, unfortunately, with no relief until Monday at the earliest. Ugh.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: Look for protected point breaks. Grande is not rideable.

** From Keith at Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo -(10/13)

The surf at the rivermouth was good. it was pretty clean early on, becoming somewhat disorganized later. The surf school took it's graduation trip to avellanas today. the conditions weren't ideal, however. it was about 3-5 feet, but a lot of whitewater. there were a few really nice outsiders that came through though, some with nice barrels. There was a lot of rain again today... Hopefully it stays clean longer into the day tomorrow. WRSC photographer

** From John at Lyman Photos in Playa Negra/Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The surf has been big. Way overhead sets at all the tides. The weather has been terrible. The rainy season has showed up right when southwest swells have been marching in. lots of oshore wind with choppy oceans, cloudyskies with plenty of rain.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Looks like more clouds and rain for the next few days. Beyond that it's hard to tell but it is the time for rain so expect that. If it's going to be surfable, it will be early at mid tide.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: I hear that Langosta has been pretty good. Playa Negra has been not that good.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: Check out John Lyman Photos at www.lymanphotos.sbpix.com

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: New and upcoming events: Samara is starting a recycle program now, benefitting the beach and the local school children. also: Festival de Sabores Samara 2006 February 17 from 12-8pm An international flavor festival, food and wine tastings from all of the different cultures living in the community. ** From Chuck at Walking on Water Surf Shop in Jaco -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: YO MAN, dis be da big wet mon! Waves are 4/6 ft faces and if you plan it right you can get a half hour of great surf in between half hours of slop , stormy close-interval wind swell but Jacos okay ! Okay we are about a month away from a great contest it's the Annual SURF AND SPIKE at the BEST WESTERN with great waves and great prizes, imagine you can book your trip and if you surf good enough you could win enough to pay for your whole trip and take some souvienirs home too! WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) : Expecting plenty of rain and cloudy skys. 4-6ft - 3-5ft jaco'. 4-7ft - 3-6ft Hermosa'

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: Hermosa & La Isla in Herradura bay.

NEWS: Live Music on weekends at Nathon's Surfer Hostel. The one Hostel that playes Rock'n Roll & Heavy Metal all the time.

** From Brice at Land Assurance in Dominical -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: Still with an ear infection and not surfing, this will be a "from the sidelines" report. The ocean has been rough from storms and is choppy. However, the underlying waves look good and are often overhead. The rides I'm seeing seem to require a good bit of reading ahead from the rider as they are irregularly shaped and broken, but with some rides being spectacular.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves): From LOLA, it looks great if we can get some calmer water (and, I'll finally be back in the water to enjoy it). There is one short period swell of about 4 ft. and a long period swell of 5ft, the two coming from two different directions. These will probably bring in some nice peaky waves at the beach. The tide, however, is exactly wrong for the morning session which is the most promising from a weather stand point. So, its one of those weekends that we'll just have to wait and see.

AREA REPORTS (sent in on 10/14 or posted)

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Light offshores in the morning the last few days, coinciding with a head high swell in the water making for pretty fun conditions for Thursday and Friday morning sessions in Playa Grande. Saturday morning the wind went onshore early leaving us with bumpy, messy conditions.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): The wind might cooperate a bit more over the next few days for the morning session in Grande, but get on it early.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: Daybreak at Grande.

** From Ed at Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo -(10/13)

Well we're still enjoing the swell, right here in front of our camp we had dome decent waves, nothing too special, with onshore wind. I heard from our guides and guest's that Marballa was pretty big, over head on the sets, really good with the incoming tide. Advanced grup went today to Witc's Rock and Ollie's point and the had some clean head high waves at Ollie's, "Roca Bruja" didn't work that good. Let's see what comes tomorrow. Pura Vida - Ed

** From John at Lyman Photos in Playa Negra/Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: The waves have been chest to head high with fair shape. The weather has been typical for this time of year with partly cloudy skies in the morning and rain in the afternoons and early evenings.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): Expect more of the same. The swell should pick up a bit out of the south, 200 to 220 degrees around mid week for sets in the head high to a bit over head.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: Playa Langosta just south of Tamarindo has been good on the incoming tide with almost nobody around. Just the friendly locals that hangout there. Just throw them a bone and you'll get all the waves you want. Bow wow!

** From Chuck at Walking on Water Surf Shop in Jaco -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones: Waves were quite fun today about 4/6 ft faces right out front with the mid tide it really was quite nice ¡ Expect tomoorw to be a bit larger and heavier with some local wind swell mixed in with the s.w. we have showing right now ! Yep KELLY did it again and on Als boards again, is it the boards or the surfer or just some magic combo ! I think it's the combo , otherwise why would this guy ride for the same shaper for over 20 yaers and never step out ! Congrats Kelly and now hows he going to top this one huh ! Got the new goods in and coming so if you want to see them just come on by the shop , K/BRDS and K/SMALLS along with a few stepups and such so swing in and check em out ! Thanks , Chuck and the CREW at W.O.W. SURF !

** From Brice at Land Assurance in Dominical -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: I've been out of the water for a week with an ear infection so this is a "from the beach" report. The waves have been disgustingly nice. Peaky, head high, hollow at lower tides, possibly too mushy at higher tides.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) : Hard to tell from LOLA. There appears to be a big event coming late Sunday and early Monday, but it is a one day event and those usually don't amount to much. So, it should be at least a little bigger and at worst the same.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: Nothing happening at the point, so the beach is it. No big currents so anywhere along the beach works well.
