NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - The whole coast is enjoying good surf conditions, headhigh
surf with sets 1-3 feet overhead with a 12 second period. The big
sets become fewer on Tuesday through Thursday, but return Friday.
Expect bigger surf to hit southern beaches by next Sunday from a
South and SW combo.

Caribbean - The Caribbean picks up a tiny bit, key word tiny, with
surf chest high Sunday with scattered head high sets. Returns to
waist to chest Sunday, a foot smaller Monday and remains dribble
until next Thursday. By Thursday afternoon, a small ESE swell pushes
in some more chest high surf on the beachbreaks.

AREA REPORTS

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -
We have been enjoying a nice over head swell. Friday the wind came
off shore as the tide dropped in the morning and we had about two
hours of excellent surf.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): Since the tides are high in the
morning and the swell is holding at a good size for our break, we
are expecting good conditions. If it rains and glasses off, the
afternoon double session is still a possibility.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: Our end of the bay has waves
at every peak. Chicken head rock has been interesting.

** From Coconut Harry's Surf Shop in Nosara -
Hola form Playa Guiones (Nosara) It's 2-3 ft overhead on set waves
and LOTSA fun - good shape. Glassy mornings (of course!) Christian
from Garza is 'killing it' here - see the pic on the CRSURF
homepage. Pura Vida, Coconut Harry www.coconutharrys.com

** From the Samara Surf School in Playa Samara -
Swell has backed down to pretty much nothing. Good for beginners
with plenty of white water to learn on. Windy conditions creating
hard to catch choppy 3 foot waves. El aumento de las olas se ha
reducido a prácticamente nada.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Qué va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): For the weekend conditions and
size predicted the same. Swell seems to be rising for next week as
the new moon approaches.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar para
the Las Brisas Del Pacifico hotel, no crowds white water waves crash
far enough out avoiding the mini shore break.
NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y días especiales: Great beginner
surfing for Samara Beach. Bring your friends and enjoy the calm
ocean and soft waves. Muy buen surfeo para principiantes en Samara
Beach.
suaves - Pura Vida

** From Chuck at Chosita del Surf Shop in Playa Jaco -
Hey Greg , waves are okay if a bit windy in the shoulder to 2 ft
overhead out front . Should have had some nice glass with the rain
but came way late ! No problem, unpacking 40 new Channel Islands
surfboards so the boys get to choose what they want . Pavones unreal
last Fri. A.m. before the world showed up at pushing double overhead
lines . Not perfect but nice 300 yd long waves and some barrels .
Weather is changing so be ready for classic rainy season conditions
here with the peakier fun beachbreak being the norm. Come on down ,
airfare is inexpensive and Grupo Taca is being easier on board fees
than they were so what are you waiting for ? Chuck and the Crew at
W.O.W. surf.

** From Rancho Coral in Esterillos -
Local Climate: Partly Sunny, Air Temp: 91F. Water Temp 87F,
Direction & Height: Southwest 4-6ft, Sea Surface: Glassy, Wind:
South 0-5 MPH, Sunrise: 5:22 AM, Sunset: 5:50 PM, Current
Conditions: The West Reef is starting to go off, Terrazzas and upper
Hermosa should be really good but, expect Roca Loca to be the Spot
for the weekend which means we won't be there, PURA VIDA!!!!

** From Brice at Land Assurance Reforestation Services in Playa
Dominical -
AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS: Waves are mediumish (shoulder to
head high) and somewhat closed. Strong currents kept most people off
the beach but it was worth paddling through. Waves from the north
creating more rights than lefts.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Offshore wind til
9:00 am, onshore til 3:00 pm, afternoon rains probable. Wave heights
and conditions should continue through the weekend.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA: The beach or Hermosa.
The currents are running south so start at the north end of the
beach by the river.

** From Wendy at Cashew Hill Jungle Lodge in Puerto Viejo -
AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - 2 - 4 feet
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND - waves will increase this weekend and a
new swell is expected on Monday or Tuesday.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - Beach Break, Cocles
and maybe Salsa Brava by Sunday

Pacific - Waves from the SSW come in 1-2 foot overhead Saturday and
drop a foot each day Sunday and Monday. By Tuesday expect chest to

next Friday, with a 13 second period and sets a foot overhead. This
will last only two days and afterwards drops back to head high for
the following week.

Caribbean - Flat to tiny conditions for the weekend and into next
week. If you see some knee high waves, take them. Knee to waist high
surf returns next Friday and sticks around for next weekend.

AREA REPORTS

** From Diana at Pura Mar Surf Shop in Tamarindo -
The south swell is here along with a stiff south wind. Tamarindo's
waves are breaking at about head high at the high tide but the wind
is messing it up for us. Langosta is breaking overhead on the
outside. Watch out for currents near estuaries and rock reefs.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): It's crazy-hot right now. We
should have good waves all weekend; we'll just have to see what the
wind does. Esta insoportablemente caliente ahora. Tendremos buenas
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: The pick right now is Capitan
Suizo. That's the only place where a south wind is actually off-
shore.

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -
It's true the crowds have eased, however so have the consistent off
shore conditions. The surf was excellent in the just overhead range
at the beginning of the week, but has become very tricky as the high
tide moved into the afternoon. The overhead swell conditions are
perfect for Playa Grande if the wind cooperates. Thurs. the wind
actually came on shore early in the morning and although some of us
slipped down to the Tamarindo River mouth on the service road and
caught some smooth conditions for in coming, it was still on shore
for the entire session.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): The early on shores are tipical
for this time of the year and are not the death nell for our break.
There will still be plenty of off shore days well into May. The
afternoon tides lower the probability of a super session, unless it
rains, which hasn't happened here yet even though I'm hearing
reports of rain further south.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: We are tucking down in the
bay to find smoother conditions and earlier tidal conditions.
Tamarindo is only 5 min. from us on the service road and should be
interesting this week end during in coming tide.

** From Coconut Harry's Surf Shop in Nosara -
Hola from Playa Guiones (Nosara)! Surf is 1 ft overhead on set waves
and forecast to build over this weekend. Oh yeah, NO CROWDS! The
Santa Cruzians sporting cool SurfTech boards just left - these guys
RULED here! Their infamous leader, Travis Watkins, promises to
return in November for some WARM water surf! Jessinia Alfaro (from
Nosara) took a 4th place in last weekend's contest held in Hermosa
(Jaco) - she took off on BIG set waves (& made it) - pura vida!
Coconut Harry -www.coconutharrys.com

** From the Samara Surf School in Playa Samara -
A full moon swell has hit. 8 foot close outs rolling in, expected to
change to 5-7 foot good form by high tide. No wind, sunny days.
buena forma y marea alta. Nada de viento, días soleados.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
conditions choppy. Wave size estimated to stay 4 to 6 feet, good
form. Glassy after rain storm.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA -
and clean break infront of the Las Brisas del Pacifico hotel. Great
inside for beginners and easy to get out for bigger waves.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales:
Samara has great waves for beginners to take their first take of
surfing. And with the bigger swell here offers soft and easy waves
for the more advanced..

** From Rancho Coral in Playa Esterillos -
Local Climate: Partly Sunny, Air Temp: 91F. Water Temp 87F,
Direction & Height: South Southwest 4-6ft, Sea Surface: Glassy,
Wind: South 0-5 MPH, Sunrise: 5:32 AM, Sunset: 5:49 PM, Current
Conditions: The West Reef is going off, Mystos and Sanctuaries are
triple the size top to bottom heavy barrels with my tourons calling
it 15 feet. No Grasshopper it's just a little six footer. Don't be
afraid summer is here, see you in The Juice, Y'all Done Heard Of Me?
PURA VIDA!!!!

** From Brice at Land Assurance Reforestation Services in Playa
Dominical -
AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - This is a report from my bed
where I can see the waves but not feel them. Got the flu for the
best waves I've seen in a good while. Clearly overhead, southern
swell giving good shape at the beach.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Same for tomorrow
but tapering off on Sunday (just when I'll be feeling well enough to
go out...sob!)
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - The beach is fine.El
mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: I'll bet the
point is great at low tide.

NATIONAL FORECAST
Pacific - The consistent overhead surf coming from the WNW and SSW
all weekend will drop a foot by Sunday afternoon and by Monday
morning it's head high and cleanest mid morning. Expect head high to
overhead surf from the SSW until Thursday, when the next southern
hemi swell arrives with 1-2 foot overhead peaks that will continue
through next Sunday. Sets will get even bigger 2-4 foot overhead, so
check those point breaks.

Caribbean - Last of the weekend's ENE swell fades out Sunday to
chest high with a few head high sets. Monday and Tuesday are
smaller - chest high at best, but clean. Then another ENE swell
fills in Wednesday, bringing chest to head high surf all the way
through the next weekend.

interested just show up Sunday morning.

** From Brice at Land Assurance Reforestation Services in Playa
Dominical -
AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Wave heights are shoulder high to
a few feet overhead on the big sets. The primary swell has been
enough from the south to give great lefts and a little wave from the
north throws in some peaks that go either way. Occasionally, there
are those waves where you are having a great right and someone is
having a great left and you are on a collision course. There has
been little wind making for surf all day except at the lowest of
tides. This has been consistent for about a week now. Superb.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - For some reason I
can't explain, the mornings seem to be more closed out than the
evenings. This morning (Friday) was more closed out than earlier in
the week, and I fear that the new growing swell may close out the
beach by Sunday. However, the swell looks significant and it could
be enough to make the point work. Let's hope.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - The beach if the
north swell can keep enough peaks happening, otherwise, the point
will be the only option. With waves under 6' in LOLA, you will want
to do the point at low or near low tide.

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Expect surf overhead with 2-3 foot overhead sets every 20
minutes, coming from the SSW with a 17 second period for the
weekend. Up north it will be a 1-2 feet smaller, but still fun with
another long 16 second period SW swell arriving Tuesday. And it
lasts until Wednesday afternoon, when it fades to overhead by
Thursday morning. A steady flow of SSW swell will keep it overhead
through next weekend.

Caribbean - Headhigh to overhead surf on Saturday, dropping a foot
Sunday with less frequent sets. DIes out Monday morning, down to
waist to chest, and then gets even smaller from Tuesday through
Thursday. Another small East swell fills in with some chest high
sets on Friday, expected to strengthen going into next weekend.

AREA REPORTS

** From Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande

We have been enjoying an excellant head high to just overhead swell
for the last few days. With the moderate offshores lasting through
high tide, the waves are being fanned into Playa Grande perfection.
Thurs. the wind swirled side shore several times during incoming and
then switched to on shore an hour into out going.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): It's up to the wind with the high
tide moving into the afternoon and the possibility of offshores
lasting into the mid day becoming less likely.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: The main peak in front of the
hotel seems to be the most consistent (and most congested).

** From Coconut Harry's Surf Shop in Nosara -

Hello from Playa Guiones (Nosara) - surf is building here & most of
the Easter crowd has departed, so the line-up is pretty 'clean'.
Looing at overhead, mellow waves next 2-3 days. Pura Vida, Coconut
Harry at: www.coconutharrys.com

** From the Samara Surf School in Playa Samara -

Samara bay has been having nice 4 to 6 foot waves, a fast peak but
good shoulder for beginners. Not so much wind, Thursday the
conditions were perfect, no chop, no wind, good waves, no crowds.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): The new moon comes Friday, so the
prediction is same size 4 to 6 foot, not to strong. If the rains
don't pick up there should be no wind, leaving the waves nice,
glassy and peeling off.
demasiado fuertes.
limpio.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: In front of the Las Brisas
Del Pacifico hotel, a nice left comes in. Good shape, longer break
and no crowds. Frente al hotel Las Brisas Del Pacifico. Entran

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: News would be
that the conditions in samara are perfect for beginner surfers, with
the current swell beginners can test their skills with some sizable
waves but not in a scary break. The paddle out is close and there is
a sandy bottom. There is an upcoming surf contest in Samara, at the
surf spot known as the "Blender" at the Reef. Contest date TBA, but
to be held in the end of May.

dropping late in the afternoon down to head high. Chest to head high

and by Friday it's two foot overhead again which will stay around
for next weekend ( a foot smaller up north).

Caribbean - The weekend ends with waist to chest high surf at the
beach breaks, with an occasional bigger set at the reefs. This
continues through Tuesday morning, but by the afternoon the sets
pick up to head high. By Wednesday morning it's overhead and will
get bigger going into the weekend. 1-2 foot overhead by Saturday.

Nice overhead swell running with morning off shores.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): If the swell stays the same and
there are no more weirdo on shore and rainy days, the surf should be
excellent.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a

breaks in front of the hotel.

** From Joe at Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Well....remember all of those
reports I did where I couldn't believe how much surf we had been
receiving and good it was??? Well, this isn't one of those reports.
Its been small. Fun, but small. And out of town we've had some surf,
its just been weak. I was used to the rivermouth with howling
offshores and big barrels. Those days will return again soon...

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Hopefully the
swell models are correct, as we should be seeing a strong increase
in south swell at any time now. This weekend should reach overhead
surf in Tamarindo proper, and much bigger outside of town.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - Witch's Rock, as its
the only spot still seeing daily offshore winds. With the morning
high tides, Witch's should get really fun.

Hey Greg, you guys let it happen to you too ? Man what a bummer but
at least we have a chance to fill evrybody in as an update ! Please
when traveling here or any other new place PLEASE dont leave your
goods unattended in your car , we do have crime here so you must be
SUPER CAREFUL . Also be careful about whom you make friends, with a
common set-up is the "DUDE" is the coolest , all the right look and
he is sooo cool and boy he [or she] is going to "hook you up " and
he/she just needs to meet you at your place to show you what he can
get and what a great deal and man you just gotta try it ïts "the
best" . Cool ,your new bro hangs out and even offers to show you
around town ,check out his crew etc. Then while your out discoin the
nite away the same guy/gal lets his friends know where you put your
key and when you arrive its like INSTANT SOBRIETY so just don't do
it ! I know a young guy who just the other day tried to do a small
dope deal with a tall rasta dude from here when just when the $
passed hands about 4 cops turned up and the "cool dude" ran away and
left the kid standing there being arrested for about 10 grams of
fresh cut lawn and 40$ [dumb] less than before until 7 a.m. when
they could locate his parents who had to come and "bail him out" for
the cool tune of another 200$ which of course the idiots gave it
direct to the arresting officer ? Etc. Etc. Etc. If it's illegal
there it's also illegal here or at least morally wrong so just dont
so it it's easier and you will surf a lot more and spend less money
in the long run . Don't be too trusting we as AMERICANS are blessed
with a pretty carefree life style and as we travel we must remember
that WE AIN'T IN KANSAS ANYMORE DOROTHY ! Safe is better than sorry
and you probably really don't surf as well stoned as you think you
do anyways ! Hah Hah ! Don't let thieves get away with it reduce the
temptation and the chances are the thieves will get bored and go
somewhere else! Surf today was about 4-6 ft with bigger sets and too
straight on for good waves but it stayed glassy and clean til late
morning and we have a REEF CLASSIC contest at Hermosa this weekend
so should be some big moves goin down !

** From Brice at Land Assurance in Playa Dominical -

>AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y
condiciones: I don't know how I didn't make it out this morning. The
surf picked up but it looked completely closed out at 5:30 am. What
this idiot did was go back to bed. Arrrgggg. Well, we've got a great
6ft swell coming in just enough from the south to open up the waves.
Just when I had to go to work I looked out again and saw some lucky
soul sliding out of tube after about 5 seconds inside. Usually
Dominical only works with two or more events coming from two
directions or when the wave is enough from the north or south to
open the wave up. This single event is coming in just enough from
the south to keep the beach working. Believe me I'll be out tomorrow
morning at 5:30. Every wave in the sets are over head with some well
over head. Great tubes but be ready for fast rides...work your
speed...not for the feint of heart.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): It looks like the swell will
continue for a few days and move even more southerly. Expect some
great waves over the weekend and settling out during the week.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: I didn't make it to the point
today, but I imagine that the low tide waves might work. The beach
is great up by the river mouth but beware of the north flowing
current. Hermosa should be as good as Dominical.

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - Sunday still has overhead surf plowing in, 1-2 foot
overhead on the sets, coming more from the west. Monday the swell
starts to fade, longer waits between sets, but still overhead.
Tuesday through Thursday look smaller, head high with an overhead
set every half hour, a foot bigger south of Jaco and north of
Tamarindo. Next swell returns Friday morning from the SW, bringing
more overhead sets. It looks like 1-2 foot overhead surf all next
week, too.

Caribbean - Small surf for the weekend, knee to waist high. Stays
the same for Monday, but with a rare chest high peak, and by Tuesday
it's waist to chest. Wednesday consistent chest to head high surf,
some bigger sets. Stays between chest to headhigh all the way
through to the weekend, with bigger surf showing for the weekend.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar

showing Friday afternoon and there should be lots of waves on tap
for the weekend. Get on it early before the onshore winds kick in

Over the past week we have seen bigger-than-normal swells with 4-6'
faces on the inside break, however, the larger ones have been
closing out close to shore. Swell has been dropping, which will give
better shoulders and beginner conditions. Best time to catch it is 2
hours before high tide through 2 hours after.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): Great weather as always here in
Samara, calm inside conditions, excellent for beginners, good sunset
sessions. Isla Chorra conditions: back side of the island promises
to be 6-8' on the right point. On the front side left, we have seen
4-6', really clean breaks.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: Best place to surf in Samara
is in front of the Las Brisas del Pacifico hotel to keep away from
the crowds.. Isla Chorra should also be with its 6-8' faces.

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- Noticias y dias especiales: Parties keep
rocking at Las Olas, Semana Santa should be pretty hectic.
ocupada.

CARIBBEAN

** From Brice at Land Assurance in Dominical:

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones:
The wave heights are slacking off a bit from an EXCELLENT week of
great waves. However, they are only slacking off in size and are
still very nice in form. So, the height this morning (Friday) was
shoulder-high to a couple of feet overhead. The winds have been low
and the tide is still working for two sessions a day. However, it is
better in the morning around 8:00 am.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
este fin de semana (clima y olas): It looks like we might get a big
pulse (probably would bring a few double overheads) from the south
(around 200 degrees) on Saturday and Sunday. However, it looks like
a short pulse and when I see those, they often never appear. But as
I always say, we welcome anything from the south here in
Dominical...anything.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: The break was at the river
mouth all week but it is back to being good all the way up and down
the beach. I actually went north of the river mouth this morning and
got some long rides where it usually breaks up. Hermosa will work as
well. Forget the point.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

** From Diana at Pura Mar Surf Shop (& Surf Lessons) in Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS -
Tamano de las olas y condiciones: It's been a great week for waves
in Tamarindo. The combination of north swells and south swells have
waves breaking from the rivermouth to Langosta. We've had some
unusual weather--it's clouded over and poured twice and we're in a
rainy-season wind pattern which means that the wind has been on-
shore from mid-morning until almost dark. The water temperature is
great, though! Everybody's curious about what's going on with this
crazy weather! Habian muchisimas olas in Tamarindo esta semana.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) -
Que va a pasar este fin de semana (clima y olas): It's supposed to
build over the weekend. We're looking forward to big waves and
hoping the wind pattern turns back to summer!

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA -
El mejor lugar a surfear este fin de semana en su area: It's good
everywhere, so if you don't know the beach watch out for rocks at
lower tides!

** Louis at Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -

We've been having a beautiful overhead swell, but the weather is
totally weirding out with lots of on shores and even rain.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar
we still are hoping for off shores.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: This swell is focusing in
front of the hotel.

** Joe at Witches Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - The surf has been staying in the
chest high to well overhead size since last week's report. The winds
have been great in the mornings but then the afternoons have had
some slight onshores. It hasn't mattered, the surf has been really
fun. Strange rain for a couple days though, is it El Nino? Who
knows, who cares, we're living in paradise and the surf has been
great!

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - The reports show
that the surf should stay about the same size today and tomorrow
from the SW swell we've had (for the past ten days or so) and a new
NW swell should pick up by Sunday.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - Northwest swell +
Tamarindo Rivermouth = good surf. Also check your favorite reef, its
probably breaking. Ollie's Point has been firing too with the strong
south swell thats been running, although the south may fade a bit.

Surface: Glass Off Wind: North 3-5 MPH, Sunrise: 5:59AM,Sunset: 5:49
PM, Current Conditions: We have really good conditions as the
evening glass sets in. Most of us were out on The West Reef catching
outside bombs while the groms controlled the faster, inside A -Fames
in The East Bowl. We have good surf but not so great tides for
tomorrow's Mango Pro at Calle Bohio in Jaco. Heats begin at 7AM. As
the tide drops we should see not so good conditions along with The
Women's and Grom heats. The surf should improve in the afternoon for
The Junior's and Men's heats after the tide turns around. Good Luck
to all competitors, PURA VIDA!!!! Pick up your copy of the 2005
